  • Publication number: 20240098956
Abstract: Intelligent storage trays each hold SMT (Surface Mount Technology) reels of varying width without the need for separating dividers between the reels. An arrangement of light pipes within the tray pivot so that either one or multiple light pipes are pushed back to a closed position when an SMT reel is placed in the tray. Sensors detect movement of the light pipes allowing software to automatically assign a single SMT reel storage location to all of the light pipes that were moved by the SMT reel placement. Beacons on the tray indicate actions needed to take place and compression contacts on the tray communicate with the storage system software when the tray is placed and removed from a holder, such as a cart. Spring pins lock the tray into place within the holder allowing for ease of placement and removal.

  • Patent number: 9915680
Abstract: A faulted circuit indicator (FCI) device for installation on a power line includes a housing, a laminate structure fastened to the housing and configured to receive the power line, and a clamp mechanism pivotally fastened to the housing and configured to secure the housing to the power line. The clamp mechanism includes a pair of opposing clamp arms each having a curved configuration. The curved configuration of the clamp arms maintains the power line in a centered relationship within the laminate structure when the clamp arms are engaged on the power line over a range of power line diameters.

  • Patent number: 9847671
Abstract: A faulted circuit indicator includes a microprocessor or discrete logic to determine a fault condition and initiate one or more fault indications, a super capacitor, a battery, and power supply circuitry for providing power to the microprocessor and one or more fault indicators. The power supply circuitry: inductively receives energy from a power line; determines whether an induced voltage is sufficient to power one or more functions of the FCI device; and if not, determines whether available voltage from the super capacitor is sufficient to power the one or more functions of the FCI device. If so, the power supply circuitry draws voltage from the super capacitor and, if not, the power supply circuitry draws voltage from the battery when it is determined that the available voltage from the super capacitor is not sufficient to power the one or more functions of the FCI device.

  • Publication number: 20160314679
Abstract: A faulted circuit indicator (FCI) may use a multiple coil configuration to improve measurements of current flowing through a power line. The FCI may include a fault alert module and a sensor configured to measure a current flowing within a power line based on a first inductive coupling with the power line. The FCI may further include a power supply configured to provide at least one supply voltage based on a second inductive coupling with the power line. The FCI may include a detector/controller module coupled to the fault alert module, sensor, and power supply. The detector/controller may be configured to monitor measurements provided by the sensor, and provide a warning signal to the fault alert module when a fault condition in the power line is detected.

  • Patent number: 9413519
Abstract: A gateway may be configured to synchronize transmissions of a plurality of faulted circuit indicators (FCIs). The gateway may determine a time delay from a zero crossing of a power line signal and obtain network information from the at least one FCI from the plurality of FCIs. The gateway may identify a proximate FCI that is closest to a gateway based on at least one link parameter, and assign the determined time delay to the proximate FCI. The gateway may receive confirmations that at least one FCI received the determined time delay, and has synchronized transmissions based on the determined time delay and the zero crossings of the power signal.

  • Patent number: 8375598
Abstract: An enclosure for storing of moisture sensitive devices (MSD's). The enclosure includes a plurality of compartments, each continuously purged with dry air supplied by a commercially available de-humidifier. MSD's housed in said compartments are thus protected from absorbing moisture which could cause cracking of the devices after being mounted on printed circuit boards and subjected to the high temperatures associated with wave solder and solder reflow processes.

  • Publication number: 20110286859
Abstract: A variable speed motor controller senses the electrical load on the motor in turning a pump. An output of the controller may be used to trigger a vent valve or power to the motor may be cut if the load level indicates a restricted flow of fluid into the suction side of the pump, such as would be caused by drain occlusion in a swimming pool. A sensor in communication with the suction side of the pump ascertains a vacuum/pressure level present and may be used to verify that an intended operational state for the variable speed motor and the pump is actualized, otherwise anomaly processing is invoked. This pressure/vacuum monitoring may be conducted through speed changes of the motor/pump.

  • Patent number: 6855881
Abstract: A multifunction power/data distribution system which consists of a cable system that provides power, data, and air cooling from a single wall outlet. Each device, has a single cable which brings power, data, and/or cooled air to that device. The system includes an appliance coupler assembly which may incorporate a fiber optics signal line, a coax cable, a cooled air supply line, and/or a telephone line. The data lines may be combined into a single high bandwidth line. Only a single cable is required to be run between the appliance coupler socket on the wall and an appliance, such as a PC, telephone, etc., to connect the appliance to an external power source, to a data network, to telephone network, or to a source of air cooling. The system provides for, and describes several types of, mating wall sockets and appliance end plugs.
