The method includes digging a well in at least one lateral surface of the foundation, installing a shear plate to the at least one lateral surface of the foundation inside the opening of the well, further digging the well to a maximum depth of 6 m, compacting a bottom surface of the well at the maximum depth of 6 m, forming a layer of gravel, compacting the layer of the gravel, placing a double column inside the well, pouring a plurality of gravel particles into the well, forming a cemented gravel layer by injecting cement slurry into the well to fill empty spaces among the plurality of gravel particles, installing a tensile system on top of the double column, forming at least a vacant space between the foundation and ground by lifting the foundation from the ground using the tensile system, and fixing the foundation by injecting cement slurry into the vacant space.

    Abstract: A method for reinforcing an aggregate pier. The method includes inserting a conical-head pipe into the aggregate pier, injecting grout into the aggregate pier by injecting the grout into the inner chamber of the hollow rod, driving the conical-head pipe into a soil under the aggregate pier by driving a secondary pipe into the aggregate pier and pushing the conical-head pipe toward the soil under the aggregate pier by utilizing the secondary pipe, filling the secondary pipe with grout, and inserting a reinforcement bar into the secondary pipe and the hollow rod. This method reinforces an aggregate pier against excess tensional and compressional loads of a concrete foundation.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for forming a compacted aggregate pier at a target location. The system comprises a mandrel, which is a composition of a casing pipe and an inner steel shaft with close ended cone and convenient entry and exit of the inner shaft. The system further comprises a casing is equipped with water jet system, a rammer of mandrel attached to hydraulic hammer and an inner mandrel with a casing pipe having two valves with open and close capability. Using this system, the matrix soil radial density and the bearing capacity and the modulus of the reaction of the composite soil are increased and soil settlement decreases. This system also increases the density of loose soils or soils with dense sandy intermediate layers especially in shores and rivers in submerged conditions. Also, the loose granular soil is retrofitted against liquefaction.

    Abstract: A method for building a drainage well in a loose granular soil is disclosed. The method includes inserting a liner tube into a loose soil using an inserting device. The liner tube includes a housing and an internal shaft placed inside the housing and coupled to inside the housing via a locking mechanism. Subsequent to insertion into the soil, the internal shaft is unlocked from the housing and removed therefrom. Thereafter, a grooved pipe is inserted inside the housing using the inserting device. Subsequent to the grooved pipe insertion into the housing, the housing is removed from the loose granular soil using a mechanical excavator and a space between the loose granular soil and the grooved pipe is filled with a filling material.
