    Abstract: A chair bath has a base frame and a bathtub mounted on the base frame so as to be pivotable about a transverse axis. The bathtub can be pivoted to a horizontal position. Thus, it is not necessary to carry a person into and out of the bathtub. A locking mechanism is provided for locking the bathtub in any desired position. A seat is mounted on the bathtub so that it can be pulled forward out of the bathtub.
