Abstract: The present invention provides a gun incident recording device able to preserve a video recording of when a shooting device was used and the course of events, and includes an actuating device, an image sensor, a data processor, an optical detector and an event sensor device. The actuating device detects use mode of the shooting device, and as soon as an attempt is made to use the shooting device, then the actuating device actuates the image sensor to commence video recording, and once the shooting device is fired or there is an irregular jerking movement or sound, then the event sensor device transmits instructions to the data processor to lock the video recording for a predetermined period of time covering before and after the event occurred, and providing evidence for use during later review and verification of the event when the shooting device was used.
