  • Publication number: 20190325449
Abstract: Example systems and methods for dynamic identity decisioning include: receiving a request, from a third-party server, to confirm an identity of a user attempting a transaction through a third-party website displayed in a first application window on a user device of the user; causing the user device to display a second application window for presenting an identity decisioning application and at least partially overlapping the first window; assessing a risk level associated with the transaction based on identity verification data retrieved from the user device; and if the risk level exceeds a predetermined threshold, selecting at least one identity authentication exam for presentation to the user via the second window, determining an outcome of the at least one identity authentication exam based on a user response thereto, and determining an identity decisioning result based on the outcome; and presenting the result to the user via the second application window.

  • Publication number: 20190266609
Abstract: A fraud prevention exchange system is provided for gathering transaction data for centralized review. The system comprises a database for storing transaction data received from participating lenders and a data retrieval and processing engine for receiving transaction data including a first transaction status code and one or more transaction attributes for a pending transaction from a first participating lender; storing the first transaction status code in association with the transaction attribute(s) in the database; receiving a transaction verification request comprising at least one of the transaction attribute(s) from a second, different participating lender; determining one or more risk alerts for the at least one of the transaction attribute(s) based on the first transaction status code and one or more prior transaction status codes previously stored in the database in association with said attribute; and transmit said risk alert(s) to the second participating lender.

  • Publication number: 20160080346
Abstract: Systems and methods for identity certification using an identity badge are disclosed herein. A method of providing an identity badge to a member is performed by an authentication system. The system receives a request for an identity badge, the request including some information about the member. The authentication system verifies the identity of the member and generates one or more reports about the member. The system then generates an identity badge for display on a third party user interface. A user viewing the member's profile can view the identity badge and may request access to the one or more reports via the identity badge. Upon receiving a request for access to the one or more reports, the system may respond by requesting more information or requesting authorization from the member.

  • Patent number: 5590405
Abstract: A communication method wherein rate of information transfer with a given signal transmitted or received at a transceiver node is dynamically varied as a function of the relative quality of the transmission environment. The method employs a responsive buffering process at each communication node that permits this rate to be varied somewhat independently of the rate at which information is transferred to or from the transceiver node. In a particular application, the invention permits information to be exchanged between a wireless signal having a variable error correction bandwidth and a fixed bandwidth data stream.

  • Patent number: 5067104
Abstract: In a programmable protocol engine, a core central processor implements a plurality of programmable finite state machines that perform context-dependent operations, and programmable satellite processing units that perform context-free operations. To assist in buffering the two way communications of the protocol engine, a memory is included which interacts with the central processor and the satellite units. The programmability of the protocol engine is achieved by realizing the satellite units with combinations of a processing unit and a memory unit which stores the instructions to be performed by the corresponding processing unit. The sequence of instructions to be performed is drawn from a small unique set of instructions which are adapted particularly to the tasks associated with protocol implementations. Instruction ports are provided for loading the necessary instructions to the satellite units and the central processor, thereby implementing a chosen protocol.
