Publication number: 20220228756Abstract: Appropriate ventilation for a building space while maintaining building comfort includes tracking one or more interior environmental conditions within the building space and one or more exterior environmental conditions outside of the building space during operation of the HVAC system. An environmental model for the building space is learned over time based at least in part on these tracked environmental conditions, where the environmental model predicts an environmental response of the building space to operation of the HVAC system under various interior and exterior environmental conditions. An appropriate ventilation rate that maintains adherence to one or more comfort parameters of the building space is determined by using the environmental model of the building space. The outdoor air ventilation damper of the HVAC system is controlled to provide appropriate ventilation.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 7, 2022Publication date: July 21, 2022Inventors: Bhavesh Gupta, Manish Sharma, Prabhat Ranjan, Balaji Krishnasamy, Vishwanath Gupta, Banuprakash Balakrishna, Surjayan Ghosh, Navneet Kumar, Deepika Sandeep, Shubham Khandelwal, Kanchan Aggarwal, Harsha Mathur, Yashwanth Vellala, Jagadeesh Brahmajosyula, Rohil Pal, Rahul Pandey

Patent number: 11347642Abstract: A tool for an approach and mechanism for calculating and configuring memory mapping of trend log objects in a system, such as an HVAC. It may incorporate determining available memory of a controller for trending a unit of equipment of a system. A calculation of available records may be made for configuring and using a trend. The calculation may be made in view of the controller memory and parameters including buffer size, log interval and retention time. A change in parameters may cause a recalculation of available records. The “available record” terms may be regarded as being in a user-understandable format. The format may be intuitive. Anomalies of trends of equipment may lead to spotting issues of the equipment.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2019Date of Patent: May 31, 2022Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Nagasree Poluri, Ankith Makam, Seema P, Balaji Krishnasamy

Publication number: 20210400033Abstract: A building management system, such as a small or medium business, having one or more control devices. Assigning codes to devices, and reading and listing them may aid in configuring the devices. Templates may be used for dynamic configuration of devices and equipment. Representing terminal assignments and wiring diagrams of control devices may be intuitive in that they resemble real hardware for ease of complete installation. The present system and approach may provide an intuitive way of securely registering devices with cloud usage, for example, involving a mobile phone with no manual entry of data so that a user can complete this process with ease. An intuitive, automatic and asynchronous device configuration downloading may be seen, such as to multiple control devices in a single shot. There may be seamless configuration data synchronization, for example, in view of replacement devices, or so the latest data is readily available.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 16, 2021Publication date: December 23, 2021Inventors: Manish Gupta, Gutha Stalin Sanghamitra, Prabhat Ranjan, Nagasree Poluri, Uma Mageswari Shanmugam, Ankith Makam, Balaji Krishnasamy, Dara Raja Praveen

Patent number: 10747696Abstract: An automatic master slave system and approach for coordinated control of a parameter, for example, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning condition, in an area of multiple spaces controlled by room controllers. Changing a layout of a zone/area in a building such as moving, adding or removing a door, increasing or splitting size of a room through movable walls, or by permanently removing partitions, changing offices to a conference room or vice versa, may occur. A size of a room may be altered within minutes, according to customer demand. For instance, rooms may be converted into a single room by removing partitions. The controllers that were controlling temperatures of the rooms independently earlier, may convert automatically into a master-slave configuration and now work together to control a larger room. If the large room is split into multiple rooms, the controllers may automatically revert to their previous configuration.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2019Date of Patent: August 18, 2020Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Jayaprakash Meruva, Wolfgang Schmieder, Balaji Krishnasamy, Vinay Prasad, Yongxi Zhou, Fei Chen
