  • Publication number: 20240149039
Abstract: A cap configured to engage at least a first connector and a second connector of different types includes a housing having a first end, an open second end, a sidewall extending between the first end and the second end, and a plurality of interfering protrusions extending inwardly from an inner surface of the sidewall configured to provide an interference engagement with the first connector or the second connector. The cap also includes an absorbent support positioned in the housing configured to contact portions of the first connector or the second connector, when the first connector or the second connecter is inserted into the housing and a seal mounted to a portion of the absorbent support configured to cover an opening of the first connector or the second connector when the first connector or the second connector is inserted into the housing.

  • Patent number: 11924241
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus related to network security. In one approach, various endpoint devices communicate with a network gateway and/or API mode CASB over one or more networks. All communications by the endpoint devices with remote servers and clouds pass through the network gateway (and/or by cloud service access when using an API mode CASB). The gateway and/or CASB gathers metadata from the endpoint devices and/or network devices. The metadata indicates characteristics of the communications by the endpoint devices on the networks and/or processes running on the endpoint devices. The gateway and/or CASB identifies security risks using at least the metadata, and in response dynamically performs remediation actions for one or more of the networks in real-time to limit or block propagation of a cyber attack associated with one or more of the identified security risks.

  • Publication number: 20230304374
Abstract: A packer system includes a retainer positionable adjacent to a packing element and coupleable to a cylinder of a downhole tool in a wellbore. The retainer is moveable in a first direction along a mandrel of the downhole tool to compress the packing element to a compressed state and generate a seal in the wellbore or to set a slip in response to an applied pressure. The packer system includes a piston moveable in a second direction along the mandrel and configured to compress a spring in response to the applied pressure. The packer system includes an interfacing element configured to couple the cylinder to the piston subsequent to the cylinder moving a predefined amount. The packer system includes a ratchet mechanism configured to prevent movement of the cylinder in the second direction.

  • Publication number: 20230072189
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate to isolating a setting chamber of an actuating assembly from tubing pressure. The actuating assembly comprises a cylinder; a mandrel disposed within the cylinder, the cylinder operable to move along the mandrel; a piston disposed between the cylinder and the mandrel, the piston operable to move along the mandrel in a direction opposite to that of the cylinder; a chamber disposed adjacent the piston, wherein the mandrel includes a port operable to allow fluid to pass into the chamber from the mandrel; and a spring disposed adjacent to the piston, the spring operable to expand, upon release of pressure from the chamber, to move the piston to seal the port and isolate the cylinder from pressure within the mandrel.

  • Patent number: 9913387
Abstract: A field device apparatus includes a field device that includes a first PCB (Printed Circuit Board) based on a PCB outline of a PWA (Printed Wiring Assembly) and a second PCB based on the PCB outline. One or more pass-through-hole standoffs can be configured with respect to the first and second PCB's in a configuration, wherein the PCB outline is extended to mount the pass-through-hole standoff to the first PCB and the second PCB. The pass-through-hole standoff can be soldered to the first PCB which is connected to a chassis ground that allows a mounting screw to make contact from a top side of the field device to a field mount housing through the pass-through-hole standoff, thereby effectively providing chassis ground connection through mounting screws to the external world. The pass-through-hole standoff can include a through-hole, but does not contain a thread therein.

  • Patent number: 9491034
Abstract: A system and method for allowing dynamic business oriented systems to execute in multiple run-time environments and on multiple computing platforms. This embodiment is an Enterprise Framework developed to Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) specifications and Web Services specifications but with additional layering of services that isolate the framework from the J2EE implementation and the evolving Web Services specification. This layering of services enables implementation of the framework by technologies other than J2EE or Web Services. The layering also eliminates the mandate that a Web Service has to be XML-based thus allow for a more open and flexible implementation of Non-XML based services.

  • Publication number: 20060259866
Abstract: Techniques for directing communications between computing or communications devices are described. A virtual user interface is defined that leverages capabilities from multiple user devices associated with a user. The virtual user interface is used to direct a received communication to a particular user device associated with the user.

  • Publication number: 20030115202
Abstract: A request is processed using one or more database units by receiving a request for a record and communicating the request to one or more nodes. One or more of the nodes is operable to provide an interface between one or more associated database units and a network. Additionally, one or more of the nodes is operable to communicate with each other. The request is further processed by identifying one or more target database units that store the record and accessing the record that is stored in one or more of the target database units. The request is then processed based on the record that is stored in one or more of the target database units such that a response to the request is generated. The response is then returned to the request that is based on the record.
