  • Publication number: 20240088237
Abstract: In an example, a semiconductor device includes an active trench region and an intersecting trench. The active region includes an active shield electrode and the intersecting trench includes an intersecting shield electrode. A coupling trench region connects the active trench region to the intersecting trench region. The coupling trench region includes a coupling shield electrode. The coupling shield electrode and the intersecting shield electrode are provided proximate to a termination mesa region. One or more of the coupling shield electrode or the intersecting shield electrode is thinner than the active shield electrode. The thinner shield electrode reduces depletion in the termination mesa region to improve, among other things, breakdown voltage performance.

  • Patent number: 10742724
Abstract: Some examples described herein relate to a cluster computer system. In an example, a first node in a cluster computer system may determine that a second node has become unavailable. The first node may form a first sub-cluster with a plurality of nodes that are communicatively reachable in the cluster computer system. The first node may retain ownership over a first application running on the first node, to the exclusion of remaining nodes in the first sub-cluster, wherein retaining ownership over the first application comprises controlling access to a storage volume related to the first application. The first node may attempt to obtain ownership over a second application previously running on the second node before the second node became unavailable. In response to a successful attempt the first node may obtain ownership over the second application, to the exclusion of remaining nodes in the first sub-cluster.

  • Publication number: 20150009331
Abstract: The system for real time train disaster vulnerability assessment and rescue guidance using multi layered video computational analytics comprises digital video cameras mounted on train, video cameras mounted at fixed locations on rail route; unmanned aerial monitoring vehicle; train on-broad computer system mounted on train and centralized system centrally located in railway network. The digital video cameras capture video images of railways track and adjacent structure from running train and automatically compute degree of disaster vulnerability from collective analysis of output from all video cameras. In case degree of disaster vulnerability exceeds predetermined threshold value a disaster alert is triggered to take immediate precautionary measures while simultaneously activating On Board Rescue and Response System.

  • Patent number: 8077033
Abstract: The number and identities of people in a building along with personal data that is useful in disaster response planning are determined from a database receiving information from the building's security access card readers and from user information extracted from wireless network access points. This information is used in the event of a disaster alarm to quickly compute vulnerability indicia for each of several locations in a building and each of several buildings in a group.

  • Patent number: 7840582
Abstract: A system and associated method for retrieving information from the Internet by an end user through use of an Intelligent Search Agent. Creating an index comprising a least one data structure corresponding to a respective forum. Next, submitting a query to at least one search engine located on a respective Internet server. After submitting the query, posting a question to at least one forum located on a respective Internet server. After posting the question, subscribing to at least one web syndication corresponding to at least one respective forum. After subscribing to at least one web syndication, receiving information from at least one web syndication. Finally, sending the information to said end user.

  • Publication number: 20100030609
Abstract: A method, service, and product for changing project length based on fuzzy logic techniques where a subject matter expert assigns a pre-determined risk rating to each of a set of tasks. A fuzzy engine assigns a human grammar to each of the pre-determined risk ratings for each of the set of tasks, the human grammar being defined by a numeric range and assigned to the risk rating for each value falling within the numeric range. The fuzzy engine determines which rules from a set of rules apply to the task with the assigned human grammar, the set of rules being preprogrammed into the fuzzy engine, which then evaluates the tasks with the assigned human grammar using the determined rules. The fuzzy engine thereafter creates an adjusted-time allocation for each task and creates an adjusted-task-length for the set of tasks based from all of the created adjusted time allocations.
