  • Patent number: 11200657
Abstract: State of the art image processing techniques such as background subtraction, and Convolutional Neural Network based approaches, when used for change detection, fail to support certain datasets. The disclosure herein generally relates to semantic change detection, and, more particularly, to a method and system for semantic change detection using a deep neural network feature correlation approach. An adaptive correlation layer is used by the system, which determines extent of computation required at pixel level, based on amount of information at pixels, and uses this information in further computation done for the semantic change detection. Information on the determined extent of computation required is then used to extract semantic features, which is then used to compute one or more correlation maps between the at least one feature map of a test image and corresponding reference image. Further the semantic changes are determined from the one or more correlation maps.

  • Publication number: 20210361249
Abstract: Conventionally, systems and methods have been provided for manual annotation of anatomical landmarks in digital radiography (DR) images. Embodiments of the present disclosure provides system and method for anatomical landmark detection and identification from DR images containing severe skeletal deformations. More specifically, motion artefacts and exposure are filtered from an input DR image to obtain a pre-processed DR image and probable/candidate anatomical landmarks comprised therein are identified. These probable candidate anatomical landmarks are assigned a score. A subset of the candidate anatomical landmarks (CALs) is selected as accurate anatomical landmarks based on comparison of the score with a pre-defined threshold performed by a trained classifier. Position of remaining CALs may be fine-tuned for classification thereof as accurate anatomical landmarks or missing anatomical landmarks.

  • Publication number: 20210303668
Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method and system for continuously validating a user during an established authenticated session using Photoplethysmogram (PPG) and accelerometer data. State of the art approaches are mostly based on feature extraction and ML modelling for PPG based continuous session validation, while a template based approach in the art follows a complicated approach. The method disclosed herein utilizes less computation intensive template based approach to continuously validate the user across the session. The method comprises preprocessing a PPG data or PPG signal acquired from a wearable device worn by the user to identify segments of negligible motion. A first segment, after authentication using conventional authentication mechanism, serves as the initial reference. The chosen segments are then tested one by one with respect to the reference. If the templates in a segment match those of the reference, it is updated as the new reference, else a re-authentication is triggered.

Abstract: Wellness estimation allows tracking of various health parameters and estimating health condition(s) of the user being monitored. Photophlethysmogram (PPG) based health monitoring systems exist. This disclosure relates generally to PPG based wellness monitoring, and more specifically to a pulse harmonics based wellness estimation. The system collects PPG signals from a user being monitored, as input. The system calculates 12 pulse harmonics from a fundamental frequency of the PPG signal. From the pulse harmonics, further a plurality of key features are extracted, and in turn a wellness metric and a wellness index are calculated, which represents health of the user.

  • Publication number: 20210291363
Abstract: Conventional tele-presence robots have their own limitations with respect to task execution, information processing and management. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a tele-presence robot (TPR) that communicates with a master device associated with a user via an edge device for task execution wherein control command from the master device is parsed for determining instructions set and task type for execution. Based on this determination, the TPR queries for information across storage devices until a response is obtained enough to execute task. The task upon execution is validated with the master device and user. Knowledge acquired, during querying, task execution and validation of the executed task, is dynamically partitioned by the TPR across storage devices namely, on-board memory of the tele-present robot, an edge device, a cloud and a web interface respectively depending upon the task type, operating environment of the tele-presence robot, and other performance affecting parameters.

  • Patent number: 11127401
Abstract: This disclosure relates to attention shifting of a robot in a group conversation with two or more attendees, wherein at least one of them is a speaker. State of the art has dealt with several aspects of Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) including responding to a source of sound at a time, addressing a fixed viewing area or determining who is the speaker based on eye gaze direction. However, attention shifting to make the conversation human-like is a challenge. The present disclosure uses audio-visual perception for speaker localization. Only qualified direction of arrivals (DOAs) are used for the audio perception. Further the audio perception is complimented by visual perception employing real time face detection and lip movement detection. Use of HRI rules, clustering of the DOAs, dynamic adjustment of rotation of the robot and a dynamically updated knowledge repository enriches the robot with intelligence to shift attention with minimum human intervention.

  • Patent number: 11089334
Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to methods and systems for maintaining quality of experience (QoE) in real-time live video streaming. Conventional techniques in achieving the QoE employ either additional bandwidth of the network or compromise on a latency of the network. The present disclosure provides a rendering algorithm to compensate for lost entropy without attempting to regain exact lost packet(s) information. The rendering algorithm enhance the QoE by regaining structural continuity of the lost packet(s) information despite variations in the end-to-end transmission channel. A segmentation algorithm is employed to segment each frame into one or more packets, so that each packet should only have integer number of MCU blocks. The rendering algorithm to identify the lost packets and to compensate the lost information. The present disclosure provides a loss resilient solution to maintain the QoE without trading off the bandwidth efficiency and the network latency.

  • Patent number: 10935459
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to methods and systems for unobtrusive and automated detection of frequencies of spatially located distinct parts of a machine. Location of vibration and detection of vibration frequency of each vibrating part in a machine is critical for routine monitoring and fault detection in the machine. Current solutions use either high frames per second (fps) industrial grade camera or stroboscopes tuned at one particular frequency. Manual stroboscopes require manual intervention for objects moving at different speeds with high convergence time. Point-lasers need prior knowledge of exact location of faults. Also Point-by-point scanning of a large machine body is time consuming. In the present disclosure, a movement detector such as RADAR enables detecting all vibration frequencies that also serve to reduce the search space of a stroboscope configured to start strobing at each detected vibration frequency to enable mapping of each vibration frequency to a corresponding vibrating part.

  • Publication number: 20210049037
Abstract: Robots are deployed for handling different tasks in various field of applications. For the robots to function, task planning is required to be done. During the task planning, goal setting is done, as well as actions to be executed for corresponding to each goal are decided. Traditionally, this is carried out first and then the robots start executing the task plan, thereby failing to capture any change in the environment the robots operate, post the task plan generation. Disclosed herein is a method and system for robotic task planning in which a task plan is generated and is executed. However if the task execution fails due to change in any of the parameters/factors, then the system dynamically invokes an adaptation and re-planning mechanism which either updates the already generated task plan (by capturing the change) or generates a new task plan, which the robot can execute to achieve the goal.

  • Patent number: 10881345
Abstract: A system and method for determining a stress level of a person is provided. The system creates a numerical solution to mathematical model of a blood pressure (BP) regulation, lumped mathematical model of a radial artery and partial differential equation (PDE) model of the radial artery. These models are then used to generate an inference engine using the mathematical model of blood pressure (BP) regulation, the lumped mathematical model of the radial artery and the PDE model of the radial artery. The inference engine is trained using an artificial neural network technique. At the same time the PPG signal of the person is sensed and preprocessed. The preprocessed PPG signal is then given to the trained inference engine. The trained inference engine generates a stress parameter corresponding to the person based on the processed PPG signal.
