  • Publication number: 20150059272
Abstract: The wood siding system has air circulation gaps between overlapping siding boards and between the siding boards and a supporting wall. The wood siding system has the appearance of old-fashion clapboards; a limited flexibility that closely imitates a solid wall, and metal retainers with installation gauge, and lips and ridges to control the direction of shrinkage and swelling of the wood boards to preserve the visual appeal of the wood siding. A wood grain pattern on the front surface of each siding board is a mirror image of a wood grain pattern on the front surface of another siding board.

  • Publication number: 20140215944
Abstract: The wood deck is made of deck boards and deck board connectors. Each deck board has a lip extending along each side thereof. A pair of wings, a riser and the sole plate of a board connector define a pair of oppositely facing board receiving slots for receiving the lips of a pair of adjacent deck boards. Each deck board is preferably made of torrefied wood. The deck board connectors have bosses on their riser for maintaining a desired spacing between deck boards. Each deck board connector has drainage channels in its sole plate, on each side of the riser for draining any moisture that may seep between deck boards. Each deck board connector also has aeration gaps under its sole plate for drying any moisture that may seep beneath the boards. The wood deck is thereby less susceptible of retaining moisture under or between the deck boards.

  • Publication number: 20040148702
Abstract: A ribbon combination for holding the ends of a plurality of laths in a grid-like arrangement comprises a row of pouches which are open to at least one side. The ribbon combination, is manufactured as a combination of ribbon parts (3 and 4) which lie essentially flat against each other which ribbon parts are joined to one another in a suitable manner. The first ribbon part (3) consists of a shrinkable material (e.g., cotton material) and the second ribbon part (4) consist of a non-shrinkable or less shrinkable material (e.g., nylon or pre-shrunken cotton material). The ribbon combination is then subjected to a shrinking process. By this, the pouches which were flat beforehand, comprise now a shrunken pouch bottom and a pouch part arching over the bottom. The ribbon combination is very easy to manufacture and comprises a constant length, independent of whether lath ends are inserted in the pouches or not.

  • Patent number: 6263528
Abstract: A device for lying on or sitting on comprising a mattress (3) with a mattress sheath (4), a lath grid (1, 2) and at least two springy beams (5) extending in longitudinal direction of the device, wherein the lath grid (1, 2) comprises a lath grid cloth (1) with means for fixing laths (2) to one side of the lath grid cloth (1) in a transverse direction of the device and parallel to each other, and wherein the mattress (3) and the lath grid (1, 2) are connected by two detachable connection means extending in a longitudinal direction of the device, to form a mattress/grid-unit being substantially wholly covered with cloth, wherein the two connection means comprises each a pair of cooperating parts (14, 44) of which parts (14, 44) a first part (44) is fixed to the mattress sheath (4) and a second part (14) is fixed to the lath grid cloth (1).

  • Patent number: 4827544
Abstract: A structure for supporting a reclining and lying means comprises a lath grating (14) formed from a plurality of transverse laths (13) which is arranged on a support structure (10,20) having at least two longitudinally oriented, spaced longitudinal beams (spring bodies) (12, 12'; 22, 22') acting resiliently at right angles to their loading and which are assembled into a structural unit with approximately regularly arranged spring elements (13) and lath grating (14) operatively connected by a cover which holds the components together.

  • Patent number: 4644596
Abstract: A bed includes a support structure having longitudinally extending bearing beams on which a spring member rests. The spring member includes a plurality of side-by-side modules, each having upper and lower resilient, flexible strips held apart by a plurality of spacers. The spacers are offset from the bearing members so that the upper strip of each module hold the modules together to allow limited independent movement. A pad and a removable fabric cover is provided.

  • Patent number: 4213374
Abstract: Disclosed is a fastener having a base portion and at least two anchor legs projecting from the base portion in the same general direction. At least one barb-like projection is disposed on at least one pair of the pairs of surfaces of the group comprising the remote surfaces on the outer sides of the legs and the proximate surfaces on the inner sides of the legs. Saddle surfaces begin at the one pair of surfaces and slant toward the other, opposite surfaces of the legs as they approach the free ends of the legs. Shoulder surfaces on at least the other of the pairs of surfaces of the group are generally opposite the saddle surfaces and are slanted toward the free ends of the legs, so that they form wedge-like cutting edges with the saddle surfaces at the end portions of the anchor legs.
