    Abstract: A computerized system and method electronically conduct trades in securities, display information corresponding to orders, match the orders, and price the matched orders on the basis of volume-weighted-average price (VWAP). Orders are matched of buyers and sellers who wish to trade designated quantities of securities at a price based on the VWAP for the security in question determined with reference to a defined time period, which is set in advance of order matching, and may consist of an entire trading day on the market on which the security is traded or a portion thereof as determined by the trading parties and/or the disclosed system. VWAP trading is facilitated by displaying, over an output device, orders entered on the “buy” side and “sell” side. Trades of matched orders are continuously and/or non-continuously executed and the trades priced after the close of the relevant defined time period at the calculated VWAP.

    Abstract: A method and system for decreasing the concentration of at least one metal in an aqueous solution. The metal may be molybdenum, tungsten, or both. An aqueous solution is introduced into at least one reaction zone, and at least one source of hydroxide ions is provided into the at least one reaction zone in an amount sufficient to precipitate at least some of the mass of the at least one metal. The aqueous solution includes a mass of the at least one metal and a mass of at least one reducing agent. The at least one reducing agent includes at least ferrous iron from at least one source of the at least one reducing agent. A composition of tungsten ferrite or molybdenum tungsten ferrite may be formed. The method may be used for purifying water, for the refining of metals, or to facilitate a chemical analytical determination.

    Abstract: An electrolyte solution containing an alkylene glycol and a chloride salt is useful for electropolishing metal substrates. An electropolishing method using the electrolyte solution is effective for polishing a varied of metals, including titanium and noble metals. The method avoids the handling and disposal challenges associated with previous methods using etching solutions containing hydrofluoric acid. A method of recycling the spent electrolyte solution is also described.
