Abstract: A smart parking system and method are disclosed which includes a plug-and-play and point to multipoint (PnP&P2MP) based internet of things (IoT) parking sensors, gateway managers, and user devices that can share information via a network. The information is used to preserve parking spaces, calculate minimum parking search time, and establish a dynamic queuing system to achieve high throughput, avoid traffic congestion and time losses.
