  • Publication number: 20210138314
Abstract: A method for producing a golf club head having a weight block includes providing a club head body formed of a titanium alloy. The club head body includes a surface having a coupling portion. A weight block formed of a tungsten-copper-nickel alloy is provided and includes 1-17 wt % of copper and 6-37 wt % of nickel, with the balance being tungsten. The tungsten-copper-nickel alloy has a specific weight of 12-17 g/cm3. The weight block is placed into the coupling portion of the club head body, and a welding heat source is applied to abutting portions of the weight block and the coupling portion to proceed with fusion welding, tightly engaging the weight block with the coupling portion of the club head body.

  • Patent number: 10486223
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a golf club head includes providing a club head body produced by electric smelting an alloy base material including 0.04-0.07 wt % of carbon, 0.5-1.0 wt % of manganese, 0.5-1.0 wt % of silicon, less than 0.04 wt % of phosphorus, less than 0.03 wt % of sulfur, 15-17.7 wt % of chromium, 3.6-5.1 wt % of nickel, 2.8-3.5 wt % of copper, with the rest being iron and inevitable impurities. A solid solution treatment is proceeded at 1020-1080° C. for 80-100 minutes to form austenite and martensite in the club head body. A deep cooling treatment is proceeded between ?120° C. and ?80° C. for 7-9 hours to turn the austenite in the club head body into martensite. An aging treatment is proceeded on the club head body at 460-500° C. for 210-270 minutes to provide a hardness of HRC 36-46. A hosel is heated with high frequency waves at 900-1000° C. to posses a hardness lower than HRC 20.

  • Publication number: 20130078132
Abstract: An integral forming method for a composite metal includes: a preparation step including preparing powders of at least two metals or alloys; a formation step including producing a single blank from the powders of one of the at least two metals or alloys by pressing molding or metal injection molding, and then producing a composite metal blank from the single blank and the powders of a remainder of the at least two metals or alloys; and a sintering step including sintering the composite metal blank into a composite metal product. The processing procedures are simplified, and the production is easier. Limitation to the choices of materials is small. The bonding strength of the composite metal is enhanced.
