The semiconductor layers are stacked over the semiconductor substrate and between the first and second epitaxy regions. A first conductive feature is formed over the first epitaxy region and outside an oxide diffusion region. A third conductive feature is formed over the first epitaxy region and within the oxide diffusion region. A fourth conductive feature is formed over the second epitaxy region and within the oxide diffusion region. The oxide diffusion region is disposed between the first and second conductive features.

A layer of coating composition formulated to help increase the corrosion resistance of the seal ring is applied to at least the body. A mask is applied to the seal ring to cover at least a portion of the seal ring having the layer of coating composition applied thereto such that the sealing band remains exposed. The sealing band is polished by an isotropic finishing process. The mask is removed after the sealing band is isotropically polished.

The sealing band is polished by an isotropic finishing process after a layer of coating composition is applied to at least the body. The layer of coating composition is formulated to withstand the isotropic finishing process and to help increase the corrosion resistance of the seal ring.

    Abstract: During the break-in period of track assembly components, galling can occur between the components during use. The components include a pin that is received within a bushing and alternatively a sleeve bearing between the pin and the bushing depending on the load. A method to prevent or reduce galling includes applying a coating of zinc phosphate and a low-friction layer on top of the zinc phosphate. The low-friction coating can be made of WS2 (Tungsten Disulphide), BN (Boron Nitride), MoS2 (Molybdenum disulfide) or PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) and deposited during a mechanical treatment.

The shaft has an outer diameter shaft surface, the sleeve bearing has an inner diameter bearing surface and an outer diameter bearing surface, and the gear has a gear bore surface. At least one of the outer diameter shaft surface, the inner diameter bearing surface, the outer diameter bearing surface, and the gear bore surface includes an isotropic surface finish and a hard thin film over the isotropic surface finish. During a break-in period of operation of the bearing system, the hard thin film over the isotropic surface finish breaks in a counter surface of the bearing system to extend a hydrodynamic lubrication period of operation of the bearing system.
