  • Patent number: 12273824
Abstract: User equipment includes a first antenna, a second antenna, a first transceiver coupled to the first antenna, a second transceiver coupled to the second antenna, and processing circuitry communicatively coupled to the first transceiver and the second transceiver. The first transceiver receives or transmits a first signal via the first antenna, and the second transceiver receives or transmits a second signal via the second antenna. The processing circuitry receives an indication that a signal characteristic of the first signal is less than a first threshold, and decreases power to the first antenna, the first receiver, or both, based on the signal characteristic of the first signal being less than the first threshold.

  • Publication number: 20250055490
Abstract: This application sets forth techniques for mitigating radio frequency (RF) interference from wired connections on cellular wireless reception quality, including pre-emptively determining when to perform RF interference mitigation based on various factors. An interference mitigation module in the wireless device determines whether to perform an interference mitigation procedure based on active and/or imminent use of a high-speed wired connection port for data transfer in parallel with a cellular wireless connection that uses a mid-frequency RF band or a high-frequency RF band. The wireless device determines a target cell in a low-frequency RF band and biases measurement reports sent to a cellular wireless network to handover and keep the cellular wireless connection to the target cell in the low-frequency RF band while a high-speed wired connection is active.

  • Publication number: 20240430749
Abstract: The described embodiments regard detecting a bandwidth part (BWP) mismatch between a wireless device and a cellular wireless network base station and performing mitigation to correct for the BWP mismatch. The wireless device can detect a BWP mismatch, based on content of a downlink control information (DCI) message indicating to switch BWP configurations, which is inconsistent with a scheduled downlink resource or granted uplink resource indicated in the DCI message occurring before completion of a BWP switching delay time period. The wireless device can monitor for DCI messages, after switching BWP configurations, in accordance with a previous BWP configuration for a monitoring time period to confirm use of the new BWP configuration or to detect a BWP mismatch. Responsive to detecting a BWP mismatch, the wireless device switches back to the previous BWP configuration without waiting to complete the BWP switching delay time period for switching BWP configurations.

  • Patent number: 5838744
Abstract: An apparatus and method for reliable and jitter-free timing recovery in high speed modems which utilizes the correlations of the received data signal points and the demodulated baseband signal samples feeding into a fractionally-spaced adaptive equalizer. This correlation based approach bypasses calculation of the exact transmitter symbol rate as required in traditional timing recovery methods. Also, the receiver timing adjustments are done via the transformed domain by shifting the taps of the adaptive equalizer. No time domain signal sample interpolation is necessary, so that truly jitter-free timing recovery is realized.

  • Patent number: 5477465
Abstract: A multi-frequency receiver for detecting the presence of one or more of a plurality of m frequency tones in an incoming signal. A digital signal processor executes a fast algorithm for accurately calculating the spectral energies in a plurality of m frequency bands. Each frequency band is centered on one of the frequencies to be detected. The center frequencies of those bands are independent of the data length used. The calculated spectral energies are compared to a set of predefined thresholds. As a result, the presence of particular tones within the incoming signal are detected.

  • Patent number: 5016280
Abstract: An electronic filter for an electroacoustic system. The system has a microphone for generating an electrical output from external sounds and an electrically driven transducer for emitting sound. Some of the sound emitted by the transducer returns to the microphone means to add a feedback contribution to its electical output. The electronic filter includes a first circuit for electronic processing of the electrical output of the microphone to produce a filtered signal. An adaptive filter, interconnected with the first circuit, performs electronic processing of the filtered signal to produce an adaptive output to the first circuit to substantially offset the feedback contribution in the electrical output of the microphone, and the adaptive filter includes means for adapting only in response to polarities of signals supplied to and from the first circuit.
