  • Publication number: 20230235646
Abstract: A method for evaluating and optimizing scale management at a subsurface for improved well performance may include performing multiple first tests, where each first test combines a first fluid with a second fluid, wherein the first fluid comprises a concentration of a scale inhibitor and a chemistry of additional fluid components. The method may also include identifying an optimal mixture of the first fluid among the first tests, where the optimal mixture comprises a minimum concentration of the scale inhibitor that reduces scale deposition. The method may further include performing a second test that combines the first fluid with the scale inhibitor, the second fluid, and rock. The method may also include evaluating a concentration of the scale inhibitor in aqueous phase after a period of time after initiating the second test. The method may further include identifying a target fluid for use in a field operation at the subsurface.

  • Publication number: 20230237223
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media for estimating well interference on a target well from other potential wells in a subsurface volume of interest are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may include: obtaining well implementation data for the target well and the other potential wells; obtaining estimated reservoir volumes as a function of position; generating well overlap between the target well and the other potential wells; generating extraction interference probabilities; generating a representation of a well layout as a function of position in the subsurface volume of interest; and displaying the representation.

  • Publication number: 20230175387
Abstract: A method for evaluating a chemical treatment at a subsurface for improved well performance may include obtaining information about a post-reaction fluid that results from a fluid flowing through a testing vessel for a period of time, where the testing vessel comprises a plurality of materials, where the plurality of materials is designed to be representative of the subsurface, and where the plurality of materials comprises rock and proppant. The method may also include performing, using the information, a compatibility test on the post-reaction fluid and the plurality of materials after the period of time. The method may further include evaluating, after performing the compatibility test, an effect of the post-reaction fluid on the plurality of materials.

  • Publication number: 20230074500
Abstract: Characteristics of a reservoir may be used to generate multiple models of the reservoir with hydraulic fractures. Simulated configurations of the hydraulic fractures in the models may be used to select one or more of the models as representative model(s) for the reservoir. The representative model(s) may be used in development of the reservoir. Hydraulic fracturing may increase productivity at shale and tight rock reservoir by creating more effective flow paths to production.

  • Publication number: 20220180029
Abstract: Embodiments of generating values for property parameters are provided. One embodiment comprises obtaining values for a plurality of samples. The values correspond to a set of property parameters. The embodiment comprises identifying a first subset of property parameters from the set of property parameters that correlate to substantially all property parameters of the set of property parameters; and generating at least one model using the first subset of property parameters and a database corresponding to the at least one model, and using the at least one model for generating a value for at least one other property parameter of the set of property parameters. The first subset of property parameters and the at least one other property parameter are different. Another embodiment comprises generating a value for at least one other property for an additional sample using the at least one model.

  • Publication number: 20220180030
Abstract: Embodiments generating values for property parameters are provided herein. One embodiment comprises obtaining values for a plurality of samples. The values correspond to a set of property parameters. The embodiment comprises performing bi-variate modelling on the set of property parameters to generate bi-variate relationships for the set of property parameters and selecting the bi-variate relationships that satisfy correlation criteria; performing multi-variate modelling on the property parameters corresponding to the unselected bi-variate relationships to generate multi-variate relationships for the unselected bi-variate relationships and selecting the multi-variate relationships that satisfy the correlation criteria; and combining the bi-variate models corresponding to the selected bi-variate relationships and the multi-variate models corresponding to the selected multi-variate relationships to generate a combined model comprising the corresponding parameters.
