The wearable electronic device includes a transceiver, a sensor, and an electronic processor electrically coupled to the transceiver and the sensor. The electronic processor is configured to establish, via the transceiver, a communications link with an electronic communications device. The electronic transceiver is further configured to transmit, via the transceiver to the electronic communications device, a device authentication key. The electronic processor is further configured to receive, from the sensor, at least one gesture signal. The electronic processor is further configure to, when the at least one gesture signal is received within a pre-determined period, determine at least one gesture from the at least one gesture signal. The electronic processor is further configured to determine a data cloning function based on the at least one gesture.
