  • Patent number: 12717611
Abstract: A traffic controller (TC) circuit monitors an ingress stream being fed to an integrated circuit (IC) component comprising the TC circuit, wherein the IC component is part of a processing pipeline of a computing device. The TC circuit controls input traffic on the ingress stream to processing logic circuitry of the IC component. The TC circuit also controls output traffic on an egress stream being outputted from the IC component. The TC circuit generates an interrupt based on a set of operational metric configurations, and the ingress stream or the egress stream.

  • Patent number: 12719809
Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) unit receives an ingress stream of packets for processing, and detects an error in a packet received in the ingress stream. An interrupt controller generates an internal drain indicator to trigger handling of the error internally by the IC unit. In in response to the internal drain indicator, the IC unit blocks the ingress stream to stop receiving new packets. The IC unit marks each of the packets being processed by the IC unit as erroneous, and drains the marked packets to prevent the error from propagating to a neighboring IC unit. The IC unit unblocks the ingress stream to continue receiving additional packets upon draining the marked packets.

  • Patent number: 11899969
Abstract: Techniques are described for maintaining in-order execution when a dependency exists between write transactions. In some embodiments, a write re-order buffer (WROB) is configured to assign the same group ID to an incoming write transaction upon determining that the incoming write transaction is dependent on a pending write transaction. The WROB forwards the incoming write transaction to an interconnect fabric for routing to a completer device. The interconnect fabric enforces in-order execution when write transactions share the same group ID. The WROB can maintain a transaction log of pending write transactions and also track the statuses of responses for such transactions. Transaction responses can include responses sent from a completer to confirm that a transaction has actually been completed. Additionally, the WROB can send a response indicating completion back to the requester of the transaction. In some embodiments, the WROB is configured to send an early response to the requester.
