According to one embodiment, a method for filtering marketing messages sent to a mobile device can comprise receiving preference information from a user of the mobile device, the preference information indicating marketing offers the user considers to be relevant and generating one or more rules based on the preference information, the one or more rules defining conditions for marketing offers to be sent to the mobile device. The method can further comprise receiving marketing information related to at least one marketing offer, applying the one or more rules to the marketing information, and sending the marketing offer to the mobile device based on applying the one or more rules to the marketing information.

The location can comprise a sub-folder of an inbox of the mobile device, a sub-container of a mobile wallet of the mobile device, or another location.
