  • Patent number: 11910270
Abstract: To prevent the spread of Covid-19 and other contagious diseases, a touchless handshake is able to be implemented using mobile devices. The touchless handshake is able to be performed by sending an ultrasonic signal from one device to another (or to multiple devices) which triggers the device to vibrate to simulate a handshake. Additionally, mobile devices are able to be used to send and/or display a wave.

  • Patent number: 10101711
Abstract: Past and future time visualization enables a user to visualize the amount of time that has passed or when a future time will be reached. By triggering past time visualization, a device displays an arced line from a previously selected time to the present time. By triggering future time visualization, a device displays an arced line from the present time to a selected future time. In some embodiments, when the future time is reached, an alarm is triggered.

  • Publication number: 20180060980
Abstract: A search with home tour navigation receives housing input (e.g., a user's housing preferences), calculates a route based on the selected/determined houses and displays the calculated route (e.g., a fastest route). The search with home tour navigation is able to factor in elements such as traffic, open house times, agent availability and/or any other factors and provide users and agents with additional capabilities such as communication and check-in/check-out features.

  • Publication number: 20180032536
Abstract: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) includes utilizing pop up drawers to enable additional content to be considered part of a main page which enables the drawer content to be included in search engine searches. Additionally, a portal which supports many separate real estate listings by separate entities provides further SEO benefits. A zoom implementation enables a user to navigate content such as images easily using a mobile device. Using the zoom implementation, a user is able to view an image that is larger than the screen of the mobile device by moving the device which pans to view different aspects of the image. The zoom implementation is able to take advantage of the accelerometer and/or gyroscope of the mobile device to control the displayed image.

  • Publication number: 20170349748
Abstract: A selective adhesive mechanism comprises an engineered surface structure or substrate and a compliant member. The compliant member is able to be a dry and non-tacky substance. The compliant member is selectively adhesive to the engineered surface when the compliant member is in contact with the engineered surface. The compliant member shows adhesion to the engineered surface when the compliant member is within a pre-selected range of hardness. In some embodiments, the compliant member comprises a polymeric member, a thermoplastic elastomer, silicone, polyurethane, or a combination thereof.

  • Patent number: 8851086
Abstract: A hair band comprises a stretchable body and a center hole. The center hole increases in diameter when the hair band is moved from a rest position to a stretched position. A distance between an outer edge of the body and an outer edge of the center hole is greater than the center hole diameter when the hair band is in a rest position. The distance between the outer edge of the center hole and the outer edge of the body decreases and the inner diameter increases as the hair band is stretched. In some embodiments, the body is hollow and filled with one or more of a gel substance, a granular solid, and a viscous liquid. In some embodiments, the hair band is manufactured by one or more of an extrusion molding process and an injection molding process.

  • Patent number: 8777507
Abstract: A cosmetic system includes a motorized applicator/dispenser with an applicator brush and a motorized handle unit for automatically moving the applicator brush in one or more directions. A cosmetic container unit containing a cosmetic is in communication with the applicator brush and the cosmetic is wicked or dispensed onto the skin when the applicator brush comes into contact with the skin and the applicator brush is automatically moved in one or more directions. In some embodiments, the motorized applicator/dispenser includes touch control for controlling the movement of the applicator brush.

  • Publication number: 20130042886
Abstract: A butterfly clip includes a body section, a first clip section and a second clip section. When pressure is applied to the body section to invert the body section from a concave orientation to a convex orientation, the first clip section and the second clip section secure a user's hair between the clips and the body section. Since there are two clip sections applying pressure against the body section, the butterfly clip securely remains in place in the user's hair. To release the butterfly clip, an opposing pressure is applied so that the clip sections move away from the body section.
