    Abstract: A new variety of apple originating as a limb mutation of Royal Gala (Tenroy cultivar, U.S. Pat. No. P.P. 4,121) is described. The variety was chosen for the unique combination of characteristic exhibited by the fruit. They are distinguished by particularly early red coloring throughout the tree, and have a distinctive appearance of predominantly bright red color and flecks of ground color overlain by a bold darker red stripe pattern that extends over the entire fruit.
