Publication number: 20230222473Abstract: A system for integrating third-party software components with point of sale (POS) systems includes a memory and a processor in communication therewith. The processor deploys a POS adapter on a POS system. The POS adapter configures a framework for the POS system, interacts with transaction data generated by the POS system, generates an API request based on the first configured framework, accesses a façade gateway based on the API request, and receives one or more responses to the first API request from the façade gateway. The façade gateway translates the API request to be interpretable by the third-party software components, transmits the translated API request to the third-party software components, receives a response to the API request from the third-party software components, translates the response to be interpretable by the POS adapter, and transmits the translated response to the POS adapter such that it is executable by the POS system.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 5, 2023Publication date: July 13, 2023Applicant: Lillii RNB Inc.Inventors: Charlotte Mattier, Barbara Jones

Patent number: 8132573Abstract: A curling iron operable to protect a portion of the user's skin that is adjacent the heating element from incidental contact with the heating element. The curling iron further includes a handle that is integrally mounted to the heating element. A shield is slidably mounted to the handle and is configured to be deployed to substantially extend the length of the heating element. The shield is further configured to be rotatable about the circumference of the heating element so as to maintain a position such that the shield is intermediate the heating element and the user's skin.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2010Date of Patent: March 13, 2012Inventor: Barbara Jones

Patent number: 5943974Abstract: A gathering gauge for assisting in the fabrication of a gather in a sewn article of manufacture. The gathering gauge is used to evenly distribute a given length of a fabric over a selected gather length, thereby eliminating guess work normally associated with such task. The gathering gauge is an elongated member defining a first slit for receiving and holding one end of a thread used to gather the fabric. A plurality of second slits is provided for receiving and holding a further portion of the thread. The second slits are disposed along the length of the gathering gauge at pre-selected distances from the first slit. A measuring guide is provided for determining the distance between the first slit and each individual second slit. Thus, depending upon the length of the fabric to be gathered, and either the length of the gather or the amount of gather desired, a particular second slit is selected.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 1998Date of Patent: August 31, 1999Inventor: Barbara Jones Hoag

Patent number: 5899160Abstract: A puff quilt square maker and method for fabricating a puff quilt square for use in fabricating a quilt or other similar article, such as a child's book, clothing, or decorative article. The puff quilt square maker is used to fabricate puffs in quitting of various shapes and sizes, including the size of the design and the height of the puff, in order to fabricate virtually any design in soft sculpture. A gathering guide is used to gauge each gathered edge of a piece of fabric. The gathering guide is provided with a first slit for receiving and holding one end of the thread used to gather the fabric and a plurality of second slits for receiving and holding a further portion of the thread. The puff quilt square maker includes a core and a guide ring for fabricating a puff. The fabric is placed over the core, with a reference mark positioned over the center of the core. After the fabric has been aligned with the core, the guide ring is slipped over the fabric to the bottom extent of the core.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 1997Date of Patent: May 4, 1999Inventor: Barbara Jones Hoag
