  • Patent number: 9185908
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for disinfecting display screen surfaces of electronic devices. Mobile communication devices, especially those which a reused in the medical sector, have plastic surfaces, often in the form of display screen surfaces. These surfaces cannot be disinfected with conventional alcoholic disinfectants. The disinfectant used in this invention contains a mixture of ethanol, 1-propanol and 2-propanol, an antimicrobial, amphoteric surfactant and water. This disinfectant enables effective eradication of microorganisms such as fungi, bacteria and yeasts, and has the further advantage of being compatible with the materials of the surfaces.

  • Patent number: 8999399
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel combined disinfection and decontamination agent comprising at least one vitamin, at least one metal ion, at least one active-surface compound, and at least one further antimicrobial active substance. The agent according to the invention surprisingly shows nearly complete nucleic acid disintegration in addition to an improved disinfectant effect. The agent can be successfully used as a combined decontamination and disinfection agent for skin, mucous membranes, hands, wounds, and/or hair, and instruments and surfaces of all kinds.

  • Publication number: 20140030305
Abstract: The invention provides for the use of a disinfectant consisting of a mixture of ethanol, 1-propanol and 2-propanol, an antimicrobial, amphoteric surfactant and water for disinfection of display screen surfaces of electronic devices. Mobile communication devices, especially those which are used in the medical sector, have plastic surfaces, more particularly in the form of display screen surfaces. These cannot be disinfected with conventional alcoholic disinfectants. The disinfectant used in accordance with the invention enables effective eradication of microorganisms such as, more particularly, fungi, bacteria and yeasts, with simultaneously good material compatibility.

  • Patent number: 8557265
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of a composition comprising a vitamin, a metal ion, and a surfactant, as a therapeutic agent or disinfectant. The composition has been known as a decontaminant because the same efficiently decomposes DNA. It has now been possible to demonstrate that the agent has surprisingly good compatibility while having a wide-ranging disinfecting effect and is therefore also suitable for other purposes, e.g., for disinfecting or dressing wounds.
