Abstract: A device for protecting electrode holders in CVD reactors includes an electrode suitable for accommodating a filament rod on an electrode holder which includes an electrically conductive material and is installed in a recess of a bottom plate, wherein an intermediate space between an electrode holder and a bottom plate is sealed by means of a sealing material, and the sealing material is protected by a protective body which is made up of one or more parts and is arranged in a ring-like manner around the electrodes, and the height of the protective body increases at least in sections in the direction of the electrode holder.

Abstract: A root canal instrument includes a twisted strip having a titanium-nickel alloy or a plastics material. The strip has a cross-section having three exterior surfaces or four exterior surfaces. A coating is disposed on at least one exterior surface, the coating includes abrasive particles. A method of making the root canal instrument includes making a basic plate having a thickness of less than one millimeter, coating the basic plate with a coating having the abrasive particles; dividing the basic plate into longitudinally extended strips, twisting the strip to form a root canal drill bit having a cutting edge with abrasive particles disposed on the cutting edge.

Abstract: The invention relates to an obturation device (1) for blocking an apical foramen of a root canal of a tooth by means of an obturation plugging mass. The obturation device (1) has a carrier (5), wherein the obturation plugging mass is arranged in slidingly displaceable manner, and has an applicator (6), by means of which the obturation plug (4) comprising obturation plugging mass is applied in the apical foramen. The applicator (6) has a housing (7) with a pushing mechanism (8), which mechanism is arranged to be brought into engagement with the carrier (5) and pushes the obturation plugging mass from the carrier (5) into the apical foramen.

Abstract: The invention relates to a delivery system for fluid substances, which comprises a plunger-type syringe in the form of a cartridge having at least one injectate chamber, which injectate chamber is provided with an injection plunger, and an attachment mounted on the cartridge at its delivery-side end, characterised in that the attachment is mounted on the cartridge by means of a releasable snap closure.
