  • Patent number: 9427028
Abstract: A hosiery system for giving the appearance of well-groomed feet featuring a pair of stockings at least ankle-high wherein toenails are disposed on the stockings and are positioned to align with and lay atop the user's own toenails. Elastic surrounds the opening of the stockings and the elastic is concealed by a piece of jewelry such as an anklet.

  • Patent number: 9402774
Abstract: An IV pole and stroller combination provides a wheel base, which, in the first and second exemplary embodiments, replaces the stroller's rear wheels. The stroller's front portion is equipped with one or more steerable front wheels, and the stroller folds up for compact storage. The IV pole is equipped with typical IV pole features, such as hooks for fluid bags and mounts for other medical equipment. The stroller portion is equipped with typical stroller features, such as a storage basket underneath the child's seat, a sun shade, and a bottle holder. In an alternative exemplary embodiment, the wheel base and number of wheels are reduced; the vertical IV pole member may not be directly affixed to the wheel base, and may instead be removably affixed to a portion of the stroller frame.

  • Patent number: 8090427
Abstract: Methods for displaying a vessel with the aid of intravascular ultrasound images and current location and cycle information provided by detectors and sensors. A sequence of intravascular ultrasound images are stored and indexed-by location and by heartbeat and breathing phase. During a subsequent medical intervention, ultrasound images that correspond to the current phase and location of an object of interest such as a catheter can be selected and displayed on a monitor in real time along with an x-ray image of the vessel, the display showing the geometric position of the ultrasound images with reference to the x-ray image.

  • Publication number: 20100049034
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for displaying a vessel (2) with the aid of intravascular ultrasound images (I). A sequence of intravascular ultrasound images (I(E,x)) is generated by means of a probe (5) and stored in a memory (10) in a manner indexed by the associated location (x) where they were generated and also the associated heartbeat phase (E) and/or breathing phase. During a subsequent medical intervention, those ultrasound images (I1, I2, I3) which best correspond to the heartbeat phase of a current fluoroscopic image (At) or belong to the current stopping location of a catheter (13) can be selected from the memory (10) and displayed on a monitor (12).

  • Patent number: 7596880
Abstract: A scanning unit including a light source for illuminating a scale by a light beam and a detector for detecting the light beam which has been modulated by the scale as a function of a relative position between two objects. An inner chamber of the scanning unit in which the light beam extends is closed off in a dust-proof manner against an outer chamber, and the inner chamber is closed off by a transparent body, through which the light beam passes. The inner chamber is connected with the outer chamber via a filter which is dust-proof, but permeable to gas and vapor.

  • Publication number: 20060257006
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and to a method for superimposed display of current (X-ray) image (A) of an object (8), such as a catheter for example, and a map image (B) of the vascular system. In this connection, for map images (B) archived in a memory (6) the associated distance images (D) are calculated by means of a distance transformation (A). In the current image (A) the object (8) is segmented (?). By means of the distance image (D), a transformation of the map image (B) is then calculated, so that, when the current image (A) and the transformed map image (?(B)) are superimposed on a monitor (10), the image of the object (8) lies in the path network of the transformed map image.
