  • Publication number: 20070074990
Abstract: A sterile container assembly for storing sterile allograft tissue implant material is constructed to hold allograft bone tissue material mounted in a sterile blister package allowing drainage of the lipids contained in the implant without destroying the seal and sterility of the package. The package for storing sterile allograft tissue implant forms is constructed with an outer blister tray defining an open faced cavity and a flange extending outward from the tray cavity surrounding the cavity and an inner blister tray seated in the outer blister tray cavity. The inner blister tray also defines an open faced cavity and a flange extending outward from the cavity and a two piece implant insert having a recess allowing lyophilization while preventing lipid flow is mounted in the inner blister tray cavity. Lids are provided for both the inner and outer blister trays.

  • Publication number: 20070074989
Abstract: A sterile container assembly for storing sterile allograft tissue implant material is constructed with sidewalls, end walls and a base member defining an open faced cavity and a flange surrounding and extending outward from the cavity. A step and a spacer is formed in each end wall of the container and a cylindrical implant container sized to fit into the container cavity is positioned adjacent the end wall spacers. The implant container has a housing and a threadable cap with a vent hole formed therein which is covered by an insert member constructed of sintered PTFE mounted inside the cap. A foil cover is sealed to the flange of the container covering and sealing the container cavity and the cylindrical implant container mounted therein.

  • Publication number: 20060235534
Abstract: A sterile implant for treatment of a spinal disc defect comprising an allograft cortical bone demineralized to a Type I collagen having a specific shape which is treated to eliminate osteoinductivity. The implant is lyophilized and compressed into smaller first shape which 20 to 80% from its original shape in at least one dimension and hardened. The implant expanding when hydrated into a second shape having the shape memory of the first shape and expanded in dimensional size from the first compressed shape.

  • Publication number: 20060204544
Abstract: The invention is directed toward an osteoimplant for application to a bone defect site to promote new bone growth at the site which comprises a new bone growth inducing composition of demineralized allograft bone material mixed with an aqueous phosphate buffered gelatin which when lyophilized to remove water from the composition crosslinks the gelatin to form a solid structure and when rehydrated is flexible

  • Publication number: 20050101963
Abstract: The bone marrow mixing instrument having a handle housing with a trigger mounted thereto. The handle housing contains a ratchet drive feed mechanism with a pawl assembly and a moveable ratchet bar. The other end of the ratchet bar is secured to mixing housing which holds syringes filled with material and defines channels leading from the syringe area to a mixing nozzle removably mounted to the mixing housing. A piston rod and piston are mounted in each syringe containing bone defect material with a piston being advanced within the respective syringe by the feed mechanism to discharge bone defect material from the syringe into the adjacent channels in the mixing housing and into the mixing nozzle.
