  • Publication number: 20160231167
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for automated data capture for fish, other animals, or other objects. In certain embodiments, an object is placed on an integrated platform that includes a scale, a length measurement board, a controller, a data storage system, and a display along with radio frequency identification (RFID) tags each having a unique identifier. The unique identifiers are associated with data values through one or more configuration files stored within the system. During data capture sessions, the integrated RFID tags are selectively read using an RFID reader, and one or more data values are automatically identified based upon each of the read unique identifiers and the configuration file loaded for the capture session. Data values for the object are then automatically stored within a data storage system. The integrated data capture station embodiments can be water resistant to facilitate data capture in wet or humid environments.

  • Publication number: 20160162834
Abstract: The container tracking system embodiments described herein include tracking components at each stage of the supply chain, including filling plants (FPs), regional storage facilities such as Regional Cages (RCs), point of sale (POS) locations, and direct delivery service (DS) providers. The tracking components at each stage include Integrated Data Terminals (IDTs) and Handheld Readers (HRs) that read data from containers and identification (ID) cards and communicate this data to one or more container tracking server systems to update a container tracking database. These communications can also be real time communications. The container tracking system in part tracks data stored in RFID (radio frequency identification) tags that are affixed to the containers. The tagged containers can hold any desired material, such as such chemicals, gases, LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), beverages, liquids, and/or other desired materials.

  • Patent number: 7825869
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for miniature transponders having capsule enclosure housings including a magnetic antenna core, such as a ferrite core, with a shaped form to provide space for an integrated circuit also included within the capsule enclosure housing. In addition, metal wire windings surround the antenna core, and these wires can be direct bonded to connections on the integrated circuit. Further, a stabilizing epoxy or other material can be inserted within the capsule enclosure housing to secure the antenna core and the integrated circuit within the capsule enclosure housing.

  • Publication number: 20090206996
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for identifying animals with radio frequency identification transponders using phone number identifiers stored within ISO 11784 code structures in ISO 11784/85 compatible implantable transponders. These phone identification (ID) transponders feature unique telephone numbers, allowing pets to be returned to their owners through direct phone contact, for which ISO 11784 standard does not provide. The phone number information can be stored prior to implantation or after implantation depending upon the type of transponders being utilized. More particularly, within the ISO 11784 code structure, phone number related country codes are stored in bits 17-26, and phone numbers are stored in bits 27-64. Un-used digits can be filled by adding leading zeros or trailing zeros or both, as desired. In addition, variations can be provided to account for particular country conditions, such as 12-digit phone numbers in Germany.
