Abstract: The invention relates to a device for ultrasonic welding of at least two plastic foil layers for manufacturing for example a package. The device comprises at least one sonotrode and at least one anvil positioned opposite each other and each being provided with a pressure surface. The pressure surfaces can be moved away from each other and towards each other from a position of rest to a welding position and vice versa, the pressure surfaces in the welding position forming a welding section as well as a flow-out section. The pressure surfaces in the flow-out section have at least two pressure surface areas extending substantially parallel to each other for supporting the foil layers.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for forming packages. The device comprises at least two transverse seam jaws, which are movable relative to each other, for forming a transverse seam constituting a bottom in a first package to be formed and, simultaneously therewith, forming a transverse seam constituting an upper side of a second package to be formed in said second package. The transverse seam jaws additionally form two connecting seams extending transversely to the transverse seams, to which connecting seams the two longitudinally extending transverse seams are connected, preferably near the ends thereof. The connected packages define a collecting space between said connecting seams and said transverse seams.

Abstract: An apparatus for closing packages made from a heat-sealable material has sealing jaws, which are subdivided by a recess or by slits into two zones. What is essential is that the two zones are eastically joined together by means of a connecting web, so that when a transverse seam is sealed, it is possible to compensate for a different number of layers of packaging material along the transverse seam. The apparatus according to the invention is relatively simple in structure and makes high sealing qualities attainable.

Abstract: A device for manufacturing tubular bag packages has a forming tube with a rectangular cross section. In order to produce reinforcing seams in a projection of the broad side walls of the tubular bag package, the device has a forming and folding device. The forming and folding device has two forming plates attached to the forming tube and a folding frame with folding plates. The relatively simply embodied device according to the invention makes it possible to form the reinforcing seams with less stress on the packaging material.
