  • Publication number: 20180349372
Abstract: The present technology recommends media items (albums, playlists, and other groupings) based on media items that have been recently played back within a user's social graph. The present technology determines accounts with the user's social graph have the most similar taste in media items, and have the most similar engagement with media items, and selects these users from which to favor media item recommendations. Additionally, the recommendations can be ranked according to compatibility with the user's taste in media items.

  • Patent number: 7840091
Abstract: A method includes displaying a reference polar coordinate system on a display screen, and displaying a radiation pattern image on the display screen in juxtaposition with the displayed reference polar coordinate system. In another aspect, an angled line is drawn on a display screen to represent the proposed layout of a leaky coaxial cable. A point of interest is selected that is spaced from the proposed cable layout, and one of the segments of the cable is determined as likely to produce a dominant level of irradiation with respect to the point of interest.

Date of Patent: November 23, 2010
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 7711360
Abstract: A method includes providing a first set of location data using a first coordinate system that corresponds to a first building and a second set of location data using a second coordinate system that corresponds to a second building. A third set of location data is generated from the first and second sets of location data by converting the first set of location data from the first coordinate system to a third coordinate system and converting the second set of location data from the second coordinate system to the third coordinate system.

  • Patent number: 7379829
Abstract: A method for generating radio frequency (RF) planning modeling data for an object. The method includes placing an RF signal source near the object and sequentially positioning a receiver at a plurality of locations around the object. At each of the locations, an indication is provided to the receiver that it is at a measurement location, and the receiver is allowed to detect a level of the RF signal produced by the RF signal source at the measurement location. In another aspect, an opening in an object is modeled as a virtual object that overlaps with the object and has a “negative attenuation” characteristic to cancel out the “positive attenuation” characteristic of the object.

  • Publication number: 20080075051
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and articles are presented for use in determining the locations and/or configurations of RF access points. According to a first aspect a method includes receiving, in a processing system, data defining a region of interest, and determining, in the processing system, an access point configuration that provides radio frequency coverage of the region of interest and satisfies minimum desired bandwidth criteria for the region of interest. In some embodiments, the method may include determining an access point configuration using a minimum number of access points.
