  • Patent number: 7210667
Abstract: Redundant valve apparatus including a first valve seat and a second valve seat located in the fluid passage of a hollow valve body between the inlet portion of the fluid passage and the outlet portion of the fluid passage and a poppet member having valve seat sealing surfaces for cooperating with and sealing the first valve seat and the second valve seat. One of the valve seats is fixed within the hollow valve body and the other valve seat is movable within the hollow valve body. The redundant valve apparatus also includes an actuator nut for controlling the operation of the poppet member and for moving the movable valve seat to cause the valve seat sealing surfaces on the poppet member to sequentially engage one valve seat and then the other valve seat.

  • Patent number: 6837922
Abstract: An air filter sensor kit and method of using the same for permitting a person to modify the filtering portion of a heating or cooling system that uses an air filter to enable the determination of when the air filter is dirty and needs changing. The air filter sensor kit includes an air filter sensor with a portion shaped for insertion through the air filter and a portion with an indicator for indicating the condition of the air filter. The kit includes an air filter sensor connecting and support member for connecting the air filter sensor to an air filter grill and for supporting the air filter sensor and a cutting tool for cutting a hole in an air filter grill to allow the passage of a portion of the air filter sensor connecting and support member to permit a portion of the air filter sensor to be inserted through the air filter. The air filter sensor kit also includes a cutting tool guide that is adjustable to conform to various configurations of air filter grills.

  • Patent number: 5225632
Abstract: A space utility conduit for use in space structures such as space stations. The space utility conduit includes a plurality of substantially identical interconnectable conduit segments or modules. Each module contains a plurality of utility lines for transporting a fluid or electricity or the like throughout the space structure. The modules have a lazy S-shape that enables them to be easily installed and removed from the space structure. The S-shaped module is rotatably connected to the space structure prior to it being connected to adjacently located modules. A module is also provided that allows access to the utility lines through a connector or port that is connectable to a connector located exterior to the space structure.
