Abstract: The present disclosure provides reusable water filter systems and methods by modifying the design of the plastic housing in such a way so that a disposable sachet with treatment media can be used in it without allowing any bypassing of the untreated water. The present invention provides reusable water filter systems and methods for use in water pitchers and/or faucets including reusable water filter cartridges for gravity flow, reusable water filter cartridges for water pressure systems, disposable sachets (pods) with treatment material for use in the reusable water filter cartridges, molded blocks with treatment material for use in the reusable water filter cartridges, and an associated method of use. Advantageously, the present invention solves the problem of disposing of millions of plastic pitcher filter cartridges.

Abstract: An aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution for use in disinfectants, soaps, shower gels, and mouth rinses is provided, with improved disinfectant and anti-microbial activity. The solutions contain at least one phosphorus based acid compound, e.g. phosphoric and/or a phosphonate and a cationic or non-ionic surfactant. Importantly, the solutions do not require the presence of an anionic surfactant to achieve the objects of the invention, thus enabling successful manufacturing using multiple formulation methods. The solution may also contain fragrances, degreasers, flavors, or other additives depending on the purposes and intended functions of the solutions.

Abstract: A brace for an ankle includes first and second ankle guards for placement over the medial and lateral portions of the ankle, respectively. A foot sole piece connects the two ankle guards. A first densified batting pad attaches to the first ankle guard so that the pad makes contact with the medial portion of the ankle. A second densified batting pad is similarly attached to the second ankle guard so that it makes contact with the lateral portion of the ankle. The brace also includes means for securing the brace to the ankle, such as VELCRO closures.
