    Abstract: A ladder stabiliser for use with a ladder comprising two stiles positioned against a wall, the ladder stabiliser comprising a body, a securing mechanism for releasably securing the body to the ladder and two or more feet for engagement with a surface wherein the securing mechanism and feet are configured such that in use the feet are located on the surface at points which are distant from the point at which the axes of the stiles intersect the surface. A line between the feet of the stabiliser and the top of the ladder stiles is at an angle of about 55 to 65° to the ground and the ladder is at an angle of 70 to 80° to the ground.
