  • Patent number: 12009081
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed that allow a user to select when messages related to medication events are sent and to select the content parameters of those messages. In one aspect, a medication dispenser is configured to notify a messaging processor when an identified medication that was not previously loaded in the medication dispenser is newly loaded into the medication dispenser, and the messaging processor is configured to send a message to a user through a communication link upon receipt of this notification. In another aspect, the medication is identified during a review of a new medication order issued by a doctor.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 7, 2011
Date of Patent: June 11, 2024
    Assignee: CAREFUSION 303, INC.
Inventors: Lauren L. Bellon, Thuy T. Nguyen, Barry A. Brown

  • Patent number: 8036911
Abstract: A system and method in accordance with the invention allow a user to select when messages relating to medication events are sent and to select the content parameters of those messages. In one aspect, a user selects certain event types, the occurrence of which will cause a message to be sent to the user. For example, the user may select a message type that pertains to the availability of a medication in an automated dispensing machine for that user's patient. In another aspect, the user may customize the contents of the message to include or exclude certain information. For example, the user may desire the message to indicate only the patient's name and not the patient's gender or age. In yet another aspect, the user may filter messages so that only certain messages are sent. For example, the user may select a filter that permits only messages pertaining to his or her patients to be sent.

  • Publication number: 20080238441
Abstract: A noise receiver is included in a network analyzer block diagram such that noise power and S-parameters measurements can be made almost simultaneously without mechanical switching in the test set. Additionally, a variable mismatch device tuner that is used by the network analyzer for S-parameter calibrations, is further used during the noise figure measurements method to remove the effect of source match variations so that the expected noise figure performance of the DUT when connected to a desired input (probably 50 ohms) can be determined.

  • Patent number: 5089782
Abstract: A vector network analyzer for performing swept frequency measurements on non-linear RF devices, using either an internal or external signal source. This simplifies and speeds linear and non-linear amplifier and mixer measurements, such as impedance, amplifier gain, and mixer conversion loss, on the one hand, and measurement of harmonics, on the other hand.
