  • Publication number: 20040047622
Abstract: A filter mechanism (10) for a camera comprises two filter elements (12) angularly spaced on a moveable paddle (14). The paddle is rotated by a drive arrangement (13) which allows either filter element (12) to be brought into position within the focus mechanism of the camera.

  • Patent number: 5184961
Abstract: A combined electrical connector and connector nesting assembly has a frame with a first section adapted to receive an edge of a printed circuit board and a second section adapted to receive a connector of a cable assembly. The first section has a card edge receiving slot and spring contacts can be inserted thereinto. The second section is located parallel to, but offset from the first section such that when a printed circuit board is inserted into the assembly, a connector located in the second section can receive contact pins projecting from the printed circuit board. The assembly frame can be snap-locked into an electronic component chassis and the connector can be snap-locked into the second section of the frame.

  • Patent number: 4274809
Abstract: A vertical wind turbine having vertical blades, each blade being connected intermediate its ends by a hinge to a support arm having a hub that enables the blades to rotate around a vertical axis, a tie wire connected to the blade at positions spaced along the blade from the hinge, said tie wire engaging a spring-loaded pulley disposed inwardly of the blades, the arrangement being such that when the angle of inclination of the blades to the vertical axis alters under the action of centrifugal force the tie wire exerts a force on the pulley opposing the spring force whereby as the turbine speeds up the blades will remain at a predetermined angle of inclination until the force exerted by the wire exceeds the force of the spring. One end of the tie wire can be connected to a position on one blade and connected to another position on another blade so that all of the blades adopt the same angle of inclination to the vertical axis.
