  • Publication number: 20030005892
Abstract: A water heater apparatus includes a water conduit having an inlet and an outlet. A primary heat exchanger has a water side defining a portion of the water conduit. A burner is operatively associated with the primary heat exchanger for heating water in the water side of the primary heat exchanger. A variable flow blower provides pre-mixed combustion air and fuel gas to the burner at a controlled blower flow rate within a blower flow rate range. This apparatus allows the heat output of the water heater to be continuously varied within a substantial flow rate range having a turn down ratio of as much as four to one.

  • Patent number: 6410812
Abstract: In a process for the oligomerization of alpha olefins using a boron trifluoride/alcohol catalyst complex a method for recovering the boron trifluoride from the product stream which comprises lowering the pressure of the product stream to flash off excess boron trifluoride, mixing the boron trifluoride with fresh alcohol to form fresh boron trifluoride/alcohol catalyst complex, and introducing the fresh catalyst back into the oligomerization reactor.

  • Patent number: 6221968
Abstract: The present invention is a process for producing an anionic block polymer which comprises optionally anionically polymerizing styrene to form a homopolymer block of polystyrene, anionically polymerizing isoprene to form a hompolymer block of polyisoprene, and anionically copolymerizing styrene and isoprene to form a tapered copolymer block wherein the charge rate of both styrene and isoprene is from 15% to 75% by weight of the total tapered block monomer charge per minute and the weight ratio of the styrene to the isoprene is from 0.5:1 to 1.5:1. The process produces a unique polymer containing a tapered polymer block of styrene and isoprene which has a specific taper structure consisting of small segments of variable size of styrene monomers and isoprene monomers.

  • Patent number: 4773590
Abstract: An apparatus for electrically insulating a pair of adjacent rail sections that form separate electrical signal circuits includes a pair of electrically insulating end posts positioned in a space provided between the adjacent rail sections. A metallic separator is disposed between the pair of electrically insulating end posts. Both the electrically insulating end posts and the metallic separator have a cross sectional configuration substantially the same as the cross sectional configuration of the adjacent rail sections. The adjacent rail sections are mechanically connected by a pair of connecting bars that are electrically insulated from and adhesively bonded to the adjacent rail sections. In another embodiment guard rail sections are insulated from each other by a pair of electrically insulating end posts positioned in a space provided between the individual guard rail sections.
