  • Patent number: 9162753
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle and associated methods for inspecting infrastructure assets includes a multirotor, electrically driven helicopter apparatus and power supply; a flight computer; positioning and collision avoidance equipment; and at least one sensor such as a camera. The flight computer is programmed for automated travel to and inspection of selected waypoints, at which condition data is collected for further analysis. The method also includes protocols for segmenting the flight path to accomplish sequential inspection of a linear asset such as a power line using limited-range equipment.

  • Patent number: 6659592
Abstract: An apparatus incorporating multiple electrical interconnects extending through a substrate (e.g., a silicon wafer), and a method of forming the same. The electrical interconnects convey electrical signals through the substrate to structures mounted on the front side of the substrate. A conductive layer can be used to selectively distribute the electrical signals to the structures. Accordingly, it is not necessary to route electrical signals to the front side of the substrate in order to convey the signals to the structures. A structure can be coupled to multiple electrical interconnects in order to convey electrical signals along redundant paths through the substrate to the structure, improving reliability should one of the electrical interconnects fail.

  • Publication number: 20030171990
Abstract: Methods, systems, and articles of manufacture consistent with certain principles related to the present invention enable a computing system to manage the delivery of web content based on historical site visit data and revenue optimization processes. In one aspect consistent with certain features related to the present invention, a publisher may provide ad campaigns that target various criteria. The publisher may be configured to allocate impressions of web content based on forecasted site visits and impressions for future months. The impression allocations may be adjusted based on overlapping targeting criteria between the campaigns and a prediction of whether a campaign may reach an impression goal before the expiration of the campaign's run period. The impression allocations are also adjusted by expected revenue from clicks and revenue per impression for different campaigns.

  • Patent number: 6085164
Abstract: The present invention relates to an inventory control method and architecture that maximizes revenues derived from the sale of a given inventory resource to a customer. More particularly, the present invention uses a continuous nested execution environment that allows a determination of a minimum acceptable price by continuously computing an optimal sale price based on current demand and supply and expected cancellations. The method described accesses a centrally located information repository and retrieves an inventory resource type and value allowing requests below the minimum acceptable price to be rejected, while requests above the minimum acceptable price can be accepted thus allowing the resource provider to maximize incoming revenues from the sale of its inventory of reservations.
