  • Patent number: 6763117
Abstract: An enclosure assembly for use in an audio speaker includes a driver support, a plurality of cavity forming layers disposed rearward of the driver support, and an end piece disposed adjacent a rearward most cavity forming layer. The driver support includes a front and rear and is adapted to support a driver. Each cavity forming layer includes an outer peripheral edge and a void disposed inward of the outer peripheral edge. The void defines an inner circumferential edge. The cavity forming layers may be removably joined such that the voids and the end piece cooperate to form a cavity rearward of the driver support. The cavity forming layers cooperate to advantageously modify the sound performance of the speaker, while providing a high degree of adjustability to the speaker's application environment. Methods of providing the enclosure assembly are also included.

  • Patent number: 6365698
Abstract: Grafted-polysilanes with a greater efficiency for the photoinitiation of vinyl type resins are provided. These grafted polysilanes which include both grafted cyclic polysilanes and grafted networked polysilanes have variable composition and length molecular chains grafted onto the silane backbone which aid in the solubility in vinyl type resins.

  • Patent number: 5525345
Abstract: A lotion composition for imparting a soft, lubricious, lotion-like feel when applied to tissue paper in amounts as low as from about 5 to about 15% by weight. The lotion composition comprises plastic or fluid emollient such as petrolatum, or a mixture of petrolatum with alkyl ethoxylate emollient, an agent such as sorbitan stearates or N-cocoyl, N-methyl glucamide to immobilize the emollient on the surface of the tissue paper web and optionally a hydrophilic surfactant to improve wettability when applied to toilet tissue. Because less lotion is required to impart the desired soft, lotion-like feel benefits, detrimental effects on the tensile strength and caliper of the lotioned paper are minimized or avoided.
