Abstract: A clip (101) for use with a hoist comprising a stud (401) having a shaft and a head. The clip (101) comprises a body (102), an aperture (106) provided in the body (102), and engaging means (109) connected to the body (102) and operable to move from an extended position to a retracted position as the shaft of the stud (401) is moved within the aperture (106) from one to the other of a first portion (107) configured to allow passage of the head of the stud of the hoist therethrough and a second portion (108) configured to prevent passage of the head of the stud of the hoist therethrough. The engaging means (109) is resiliently biased towards the extended position and is moved from an unstressed condition to a stressed condition when moved from the extended position to the retracted position.
