  • Patent number: 5528787
Abstract: A container for cleaning liquid solution for a carpet dry cleaning apparatus includes an outer wall having a cylindrical front portion and a flat back portion, an annular bottom wall at the bottom edge of the front portion of the outer wall, a top wall extending across the top edge of the outer wall, an inner wall extending around the inner edge of the bottom wall spaced inwardly from and extending along a portion of the front portion of the outer wall, and an inner bottom wall extending from the top edge of the inner wall to the back portion of the outer wall. The walls form a chamber for the cleaning liquid solution which extends across a portion of the inner bottom wall and annularly between the inner wall and the front portion of the outer wall. The container is adapted to fit over and around a motor mounted on a base of a carpet dry cleaning machine and can be secured to the base by screws extending from the bottom wall into the base.

  • Patent number: 5377378
Abstract: A cleaning pad for use for cleaning carpet, rugs, furniture and like includes a pair of circular base sheets of a non-woven materials secured together at their peripheries. In each base sheet are at least first and second strips of piles of a fibrous bristle with the fibrous bristles of the first strips being stiffer than the fibrous bristles of the second strip. The fibrous bristles of the first strips have a shorter pile height than the pile height of the fibrous bristles of the second strips. A bed of firmly looped strands woven to a hooked rug solidity to present a cleaning surface fill in the space of each base sheet between the strips. For a carpet cleaning pad, there are preferably two of the first strips and two of the second strips on each base sheet. Each of the first strip forms a V with a separate one of the second strips with the apices of the V's being adjacent the periphery of the base sheet and being diagonally opposite each other.

  • Patent number: 4779299
Abstract: A cleaning system includes a dolly having a base mounted on wheels and a handle at one end of the base. A tank for cleaning material and a pump are mounted on the base with the pump connected to the tank to deliver cleaning material from the tank. A box is also mounted on the base and is divided into compartments for receiving containers or cleaning material and cleaning pads. A cleaning head includes a housing having a handle. The cleaning head is small enough to be held in the hand of an operator. A plate extends across the bottom of the housing and is mounted on a vibrator mounted in the housing. The plate is adapted to hold a cleaning pad which extends across the bottom of the plate. A spray nozzle is mounted on the side of the housing and an elongated flexible tube extends from the nozzle to connect the nozzle to the pump. A switch button is on the handle of the cleaning head and is connected to the pump to selectively operate the pump and deliver cleaning material from the tank to the nozzle.
