Publication number: 20240334867Abstract: An agricultural implement comprises: a main frame, an operational unit interconnected to the main frame, and a height adjustment apparatus interconnected to the main frame and the operational unit. The height adjustment apparatus comprises a terrain contact element that can be positioned to contact a terrain surface such that the contact element supports the operational unit at a vertical separation distance of the operational unit above the terrain surface. The height adjustment apparatus can adjust the vertical separation distance of the operational unit above the terrain surface. A shock absorbing assembly is operationally positioned between the main frame and the terrain contact element and provides for resilient deformation in response to forces transmitted during operation to the terrain contact element, from contact with the terrain surface. The shock absorbing assembly may absorb and/or cushion forces imparted to a component of the height adjustment apparatus.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2024Publication date: October 10, 2024Inventors: Glenn Raymond HONEY, Lee Glenn HARPER, Barry LINDMARK

Publication number: 20240206382Abstract: An agricultural apparatus comprises a propulsion unit and an implement connected to the propulsion unit. The implement comprises: (i) a main frame having a main frame weight, (ii) an operational unit; (iii) a unit support apparatus configured to interconnect the operational unit to the main frame; (iv) a height adjustment apparatus comprising a terrain contact element, the height adjustment apparatus connected to the unit support apparatus. The terrain contact element is operable to be positioned to contact the terrain surface level at a contact region such that the at least one terrain contact element supports the unit support apparatus at a vertical separation distance above the terrain surface. The height adjustment apparatus is operable to adjust the vertical separation distance of the unit support apparatus above the terrain surface and thereby adjust a vertical separation distance of the operational unit above the terrain surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2022Publication date: June 27, 2024Inventors: Glenn Raymond HONEY, Lee Glenn HARPER, Barry LINDMARK

Patent number: 11006578Abstract: A header includes a forwardly disposed cutter bar assembly and a rearwardly disposed draper deck assembly. The draper seal includes a flexible strip that runs parallel to the cutter bar assembly and perpendicular to the direction of travel. A bracket secures the forward edge of the flexible strip to an upper surface of the cutter bar assembly, which bracket also biases a rearward edge of the flexible strip into engagement with an upper surface of the draper deck assembly, thereby creating a seal between the cutter bar assembly and the draper deck assembly.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2020Date of Patent: May 18, 2021Assignee: HONEY BEE MANUFACTURING LTD.Inventors: Darren Leys, Barry Lindmark
