  • Patent number: 10850066
Abstract: A catheter including at least one distal opening positioned at or near the distal end and at least one proximal opening near the proximal end and proximal to the at least one distal opening is described. The catheter may be configured for delivering at least a first fluid through the at least one distal opening to a central circulation system of a patient and delivering at least a second fluid through the at least one proximal opening to a peripheral circulation system of the patient.

Date of Patent: December 1, 2020
    Assignee: BAYER HEALTHCARE LLC
Inventors: Arthur E. Uber, III, Barry Lynn McDaniel, David M. Griffiths, Michael J. Bonnette, Eric J. Thor
  • Patent number: 10105530
Abstract: A fluid delivery system is provided and includes a power injector supporting a high pressure syringe. The fluid delivery system further includes a manifold and a low pressure hand-operated syringe. The manifold generally includes a plurality of fluid control valves in series fluid communication. A first fluid control valve of the plurality of fluid control valves has a first port, a second inlet port, and a third port. The third port of the first fluid control valve is in fluid connection with a first port of a second fluid control valve. The low pressure hand-operated syringe is in fluid connection with the first port of the first fluid control valve, and the high pressure syringe is in fluid connection with the second port of the first fluid control valve. The fluid control valves may be multi-position stopcock valves.

  • Patent number: 8961491
Abstract: A device for inserting a catheter into a blood vessel that uses fluid flow to aid the insertion of the catheter into a patient is described herein. The device includes a catheter retention device that houses a catheter and is configured to attach to an angiocatheter or other blood vessel access device. The catheter retention device receives fluid and guides the catheter into the blood vessel using the flow of fluid to carry the catheter into the blood vessel.
