  • Patent number: 11973366
Abstract: Describes is a battery booster for jumpstarting a vehicle having an external battery. The battery booster comprising a set of electrical conductors, a power supply configured to supply a starting current to jump start the vehicle via the set of electrical conductors, a boost switch positioned in-line between the power supply and a set of battery clamps on one of the set of electrical conductors; and at least one processor configured to output a control signal to close the boost switch as a function of one or more parameters of the power supply, the external battery, or the vehicle. The set of electrical conductors are configured to couple with the external battery or with an engine that is electrically coupled with the external battery via the set of battery clamps. The set of electrical conductors comprises a positive electrical conductor and a negative electrical conductor.

  • Patent number: 11275577
Abstract: An update device for providing configuration updates, such as recipes, advertising content, software update(s), pricing updates and/or other changes to brewer parameters, to a brewer device. When turned on, the update device wirelessly connects to a cloud account associated with the brewer device. Any pending content updates associated with the cloud account are wirelessly delivered to the update device and stored. When the update device is connected to the brewer device, the update device emulates a disk drive to transfer the updates to the brewer device.

  • Publication number: 20180300473
Abstract: Very strong, complex, unforgettable passwords unique to each web site are created for a user's Web site authentication by altering all or part of the web site address using, in a preferred embodiment, a predetermined encoding dictionary with more a single code for each entry. The entries in this preferred embodiment are single characters including characters used for words, punctuation, symbols and numerals; each single entry character appears more than once in the dictionary. The codes are of various character lengths and can be comprised of the same characters used in the entries. In an embodiment for pass-protecting files, the string of characters altered by encoding can be a private word or group of words. In another embodiment the password created by encoding is pseudo-randomly scrambled by using a seed unique to the user in order to create the password actually used.

  • Patent number: 7669122
Abstract: As either regular entry or as an assist to the user of existing computer text entry systems, the invention makes possible an alternative method of Chinese character entry by entering a Chinese character assumed by the user to be a rhyme of the character the user desires to enter. Entry methods for such rhyme alternative entry include phonetic and non-phonetic entry of Chinese characters, including keyboard stroke-category input, and handwritten entry using an electronic surface. The invention is not only helpful for entry of difficult Chinese characters but provides an approach to the use of supplementing input methods for most if not all written languages.
