  • Publication number: 20240165347
Abstract: The present invention provides a safety needle assembly 10 for use with a medical injector 11 comprising in which blocking means comprising a control member 80 slidably displaceable along a longitudinal axis of a tubular housing 20 from a set position whereat the control member 80 engages a needle mount 60 to maintain a needle 12 in an operative position before use, thereafter attachment of the safety needle assembly 10 to the medical injector 11, the use thereof and subsequent detachment of the safety needle assembly 10 from the medical injector 11, causes the control member 80 to move away from the set position and disengage from the needle mount 60 and allow spring means 70 to rotate the needle 12 to the shielding position and to move a non-patient end 15 of the needle 12 towards a distal end 22 of the tubular housing 20 whereat the needle 12 extends at an angle oblique to the longitudinal axis of the tubular housing 20 to place the non-patient end 15 of the needle 12 at a location adjacent to an interior

  • Patent number: 6073349
Abstract: A wire stripper has a blade (33) projecting from a carrier (35) mounted in a handle (56). A hook-shaped wire clam (45) is slidably mounted in the handle and is spring-urged towards a position where a wire is pressed by the clamp on to the blade. The clamp (45) may be turned relative to the blade (35) about the axis of the handle between first and second positions when the blade performs a circumferential cut around a held wire or a longitudinal cut along a held wire, respectively. The clamp (45) may be turned through an acute angle from the first position to a third position where the blade (33) performs a helical cut along a held wire. A spring biases the clamp to the first position, or selectively to the third position.

  • Patent number: 4640009
Abstract: A tool for preparing the end portion of a co-axial cable has a blade which may pivot between two limiting positions, in one of which the cutting edge of the blade lies across a cable-receiving opening to a greater extent than in the other of which positions. On inserting a co-axial cable through the opening and rotating the tool around the cable in one sense, the blade is caused to move to one limiting position so effecting one depth of cut, but on rotating the tool in the other sense around the cable, the blade is caused to move to the other limiting position so effecting a different depth of cut. In this way, the different layers of the cable may be severed and removed.
