  • Patent number: 9163456
Abstract: A vehicle step is disclosed comprising a frame and a plurality of steps. Said vehicle step comprises a first side, a second side, a front, and a back. Said frame supports said plurality of steps. Said plurality of steps comprise, at least, a first step and an adjustable step. Said first step serves as a platform for a user of said vehicle step to gain access to said adjustable step. Said adjustable step comprises a one or more hinges. Said adjustable step is rotateably attached to said frame such that said back of said vehicle step can be placed near a wheel, and said adjustable step can rotate on said one or more hinges over and rest on a top portion of said wheel.

  • Patent number: 7160591
Abstract: An elongate tubular heat transfer element having a longitudinal tube axis that runs through the hollow interior of the heat transfer element. The heat transfer element includes a wall of monolithic construction having an outer surface and an inner surface. The wall is formed from a composite material including a matrix and rovings embedded in the matrix. The composite material is in contact with the hollow interior such that the inner surface determines a boundary of the hollow interior which extends longitudinally along the axis of the heat transfer element. The matrix is of a fluoropolymer having embedded therein rovings of boron-free chemically resistant glass fibres. The rovings include from about 20% to about 60% by volume based upon the volume of the composite material, rovings that extend longitudinally in a lengthwise direction parallel to the axis of the heat transfer element and rovings that extend spirally around the axis.

  • Patent number: 4366164
Abstract: The invention provides compounds of general formula ##STR1## and physiologically acceptable salts, hydrates and bioprecursors thereof, in whichY and Z, which may be the same or different, each represent oxygen, sulphur, .dbd.CHNO.sub.2 or .dbd.NR.sub.3 where R.sub.3 is hydrogen, nitro, cyano, lower alkyl, aryl, alkylsulphonyl or arylsulphonyl;p has a value from 2 to 12;R.sub.1 represents ##STR2## in which R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 which may be the same or different, each represent hydrogen, lower alkyl, cycloalkyl, lower alkenyl, aralkyl or lower alkyl interrupted by an oxygen atom or a group >N-R.sub.6 in which R.sub.6 represents hydrogen or lower alkyl, or R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached from a 5 to 7-membered saturated heterocyclic ring which may contain an additional oxygen atom or the group >NR.sub.
