  • Patent number: 4728018
Abstract: A beverage holder for supporting both the bottom surface and the sides of a container includes a housing mounted within a vertical panel of the vehicle body and having spaced apart side walls defining a narrow vertical slot. A plastic retainer includes a narrow spine portion having an end pivoted to the housing at the bottom of the narrow slot to mount the spine for movement between a vertical position stored inside the housing and a deployed position extending horizontally outward from the face of the panel and defining a narrow shelf for supporting the bottom surface of the container. The retainer also has a pair of plastic support wings connected to the spine and extending above the spine. The wings are yieldable relative one another to spaced apart positions by which the wings resiliently cradle the walls of the beverage container to balance the beverage container on the spine.

  • Patent number: 4645157
Abstract: A beverage holder is mounted on the vehicle body above an armrest or other horizontal planar surface upon which a beverage container may be placed by the vehicle occupant. First and second projection links have central portions pivoted together and inner ends pivotally mounted within a housing by a pin and slot slider mechanism so that the inner ends are movable toward one another by which they are projected outwardly from the housing to overlie the planar surface and away from each other by which they are retracted into the housing. First and second connector links have first ends pivotally connected to each other and second ends pivotally connected to the outer ends of the first and second projection links so that the projection links and the connector links cooperate to define a parallelogram which opens as the projection links are extended from the housing to thereby define a receptacle for receiving the beverage container.

  • Patent number: 4544192
Abstract: An adjustable striker assembly includes a mounting member on a door frame and a track member mounted thereto for sliding movement in a direction parallel to the door hinge. Cooperating resilient toothed fingers and teeth on the mounting member and track member releasably maintain them in any adjusted position. A body member, slidable relative to the track member and mounting member, includes a striker element engageable by a door latch. During door closing, the latch-striker engagement ratchets the body member and track member relative to the mounting member to automatically correct any misalignment. An adjusting screw between the mounting member and body member is adjustable to adjust the body member and striker element relative to the track member.

  • Patent number: 4469257
Abstract: A ski rack for pickup trucks characterized by a separated pair of ski carrier assemblies each including an elongated support post, a base assembly for attaching a lower end of the support post to the bed of the pickup truck, and a ski attachment assembly attached to an upper end of the support post. The support posts are preferably angled towards each other over the wheel well hump and are angled towards the center of the bed so that the ski attachment assemblies clear the upper edge of the pickup truck's sidewall. A number of locking mechanisms are provided to lock the base assembly to the bed and ski equipment to the ski attachment assembly.
