  • Patent number: 6082613
Abstract: An interplant bulk shipment container (10) includes a liner bag (112) of a size for form fitting inside of a tote (12) formed of planar material panels (14, 16, 18, 20) of a rigidity and compressive strength allowing stacking thereof. The liner bag (112) is formed from flexible, plastic liner material. The bottom of the liner bag (112) is formed by securement of the front and back gussets (118a, 118b, 120a, 120b) to the front and back sheets (114, 116), respectively, along gusset line securements (130a, 130b, 132a, 132b) extending at an acute angle to the interconnections of the front and back sheets (114, 116) to the side sheets (118, 120) and which interconnect with a bottom line securement (128) securing the front and back sheets (114, 116) together and extending generally perpendicular to the interconnections of the front and back sheets (114, 116) to the side sheets (118, 120). The free upper end of the liner bag (112) is free of interconnection between the sheets (114, 116, 118, 120).

  • Patent number: 5450998
Abstract: A tote (10) is disclosed in its preferred form including a tubular body formed from four side panels (12-15) preferably of identical construction and including top and bottom panels (16, 18) preferably of construction. The side panels (12-15) each include flaps (26, 28) extending from the opposite side edges (22, 24) of a central portion (20). The flaps (26, 28) overlap and are secured to the central portion (20) of the adjacent side panels (12-15) and extend in two, nonparallel directions from the corners of the tubular body defined by the side edges (22, 24) to create a V-shaped corner post at each corner of the tubular body. A pleat is formed in each of the central portions (20) of the side panels (12-15) to increase compression strength and rigidity of the side panel (12-15).

  • Patent number: 4703148
Abstract: Disclosed are packaged frozen food articles which are adapted to be heated by microwave. The articles include a frozen food item and a microwave heating package. The packages include a tray and an overwrapped paperboard carton having a microwave shield and having a plurality of windows in the sleeve. The package further includes an opposed pair of spaced parallel upper and lower microwave susceptor heating cards each comprising an inner heating layer mounted on a mounting board, and spacers for spacing the heating cards from the microwave shield such as a spaced pair of corrugated paperboard spacers intermediate the microwave shield and the heating cards. The heating layers are in direct contact with the food items and can comprise a metallized film. The microwave shield can be a foil such as aluminum foil.

  • Patent number: 4415598
Abstract: A dough process is provided which allows for a slow release of pressure and dough expansion upon opening a dough container on chemically leavened fresh dough contained in the container with the release rate of pressure slower than a predetermined rate. The fresh dough contained in the container after slow release of pressure and baking will have high specific volume.
