Abstract: A soft touch switch comprises a switch housing, a first soft touch sensor, and a second soft touch sensor. The switch housing has an outer surface which is curved and an inner surface. The first sensor is disposed inside the switch housing adjacent a first portion of the inner surface, and the second sensor is disposed inside the switch housing adjacent a second portion of the inner surface. The first and second sensors are disposed in different planes inside the switch housing. The soft touch switch is especially suited for industrial applications such as punch presses and has enhanced safety, ergonomic, and freedom of installation features.

Abstract: A selector switch includes a knob, a bezel and a retaining clip. The retaining clip is mounted on the knob and secures the knob to the bezel. The retaining clip is C-shaped and has a tab centrally disposed on the retaining clip. When the tab is pressed by a tool, the retaining clip contracts and the knob may be detached from the bezel. The tab can be accessed through a slot between the bezel and the knob by a screwdriver. The knob, bezel and retaining clip can be made of plastic.

Abstract: An improvement in manually operable vents includes a pair of barbs positioned on the end of a leg attached to a vent screw. A vent body is formed with a retaining well on its underside facing the barbs. A throat is formed in the vent body, opening into a flat upper surface of the retaining well. During assembly, the vent screw is screwed into the vent body, causing the barbs to deflect inwards as they are urged through the throat. Once clear of the throat, the barbs restore to their normal position. The vent screw is then held captive, if removal is attempted, by the barbs wedging against the flat upper surface and a cylindrical side wall of the retaining well.
