    Abstract: A choke guard for the spindle of a twisting machine for preventing broken yarn from entering the rotating parts of the spindle comprises a cylindrical member disposed coaxially about the spindle so as to extend between the fixed body of the spindle and the rotating spindle disc, the member being connected to the fixed body portion of the spindle and providing a radially extending circular flange which is received within a circular recess of the rotating spindle disc.
