    Abstract: Disclosed is an adjustable grade finder that can be used to measure one or both of a relative distance delta between two points or an absolute distance delta between two points with no or minimal calculations. For one embodiment the adjustable grade finder is configured to be associated with a leveling pole so that the combination provides a tool for making measurements that represent a relative distance delta between two or more points while eliminating the need to perform mathematical calculations thereby simplifying the task of leveling a grade over an area of ground.
