  • Patent number: 12619339
Abstract: Some computing systems may implement a user interface to provide a visualization of system contents to a user. To place a widget or component within the user interface, a user may select from a plurality of candidate display regions that have different respective sizes. The size of the first widget may be adjusted from a prior size to a first size in response to the first widget being moved to at least partially overly a first candidate display region, and may be further adjusted from the first size to a second size in response to the first widget being moved to at least partially overly a second candidate display region. The widget may then be displayed within the second candidate display region after adjusting the size of the first widget to the second size.

  • Publication number: 20260081758
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for data management are described. A data management system (DMS) may store encrypted backup data across one or more storage locations using a hierarchical encryption key management design. The hierarchical design may include data encryption keys (DEKs) that are used to encrypt the backup data, and may also include one or more layers of key encryption keys (KEKs). For example, a root KEK may be implemented at the top of the hierarchy and may be used to encrypt intermediary KEKs, while intermediary KEKs may be implemented at one or more lower levels of the hierarchy and may be used to encrypt other intermediary KEKs and/or the DEKs, with the DEKs at the bottom of the hierarchy and used to encrypt data. In some examples, the root KEK may be wrapped by a customer master key, enabling customers of the DMS to provide their own encryption keys.

  • Publication number: 20250141873
Abstract: A data management system (DMS) may receive an indication of a configuration for a quorum-based authorization (QAuth) policy that controls interactions between two or more users and a security cloud service of the DMS. The configuration may include a policy scope for the QAuth policy, protected actions that trigger the QAuth policy, and compute objects to which the QAuth policy is assigned. The DMS may receive an instruction to assign a set of role-based access control (RBAC) permissions associated with the QAuth policy to a first user. The DMS may receive a request to perform a protected action on at least one compute object to which the QAuth policy is assigned. In response to the request, the DMS may trigger a two-person rule (TPR) enforcement mechanism of the QAuth policy by requesting approval from the first user with the set of RBAC permissions.
